Saints should get back at Goodell

assuming we continue to suck and lose a bunch more games, when we play on MNF later this year, Saints should just not play. I'm talking take a knee on four straight snaps and don't even try to play defense. Technically play the game but put zero effort and just let the other team score. It would kill the ratings after the novelty wore off and everybody would be pissed. Don't know enough about their contracts to know if they can be fined for this, but it would be a really nice F-you to Roger Goodell.

Well that's a very pussy way of looking at things.

I think your wrong on that. I dont think Goodell would really give a shite about it. Plus I really feel bad for the people who paid $$$ to go to that game.
I think the answer is in another thread on here. Players (all team) just go on strike, or just sit out for a couple of weeks. Imagine the next couple of weekends where no games take place. That will get Goodell's attention. I bet the owner's will start speaking up then!!

Just start a "Geaux to Hell Goodell" chant in unison throughout the entire game.

Are you four years old? "WAAAAAAAH THIS GAME ISN'T FAIR!!! I DON'T WANNA PLAY ANYMORE!!!!"

It's called protesting and if used correctly can be a pretty effective strategy. Go review some American history for examples. My thought is that the players won't go on strike because that means they don't get paid, so they need to find a way to protest and still fall within the rules of their contracts so they don't get fined or suspended. Basically by not even trying to win but still technically going through the motions, they could accomplish both. it would be more effective if the entire league did it and just played to 100-100 overtime ties until they fired Goodell. Admittedly I don't know all the in's nad out's of the new Labor contract to know if they could be suspended or fined for behaving that way. But the players collectively have the power to effectively protest and get Goodell removed if they wanted to.

So we might actually beat GB!!!
I actually think that it would be more effective for the fans to skip the first quarter of one of the national TV games. It would be crazy to see no one in the stands at kickoff.

Taking knees and fricking off shortens the game and the league loses advertising dollars.

How much in concessions are sold in the first quarter? If every fanbase did that for 1 game it would hurt every owners' pocketbook. This does not preclude the players from taking their own stand during that time.
