That 42 - 24 score would be a little tight. Probably closer to 49-16.
Lsu would beat Houston and rice 49-0 type score. Lsu would beat Illinois 56-14 type score.
Lsu is one of the top programs in the nation. Few schools could beat them. To think we could is a bit of a stretch.
We would destroy ulm....their weakness plays into our strength.

yes tech is a smaller D-1 school not known for its football power. Yes they are probably the 2nd university in louisiana behind LSU. Yes the ulm and ull fans will debate this.
We all understand that LSU is #1 but it wasn't that long ago 90's that the LSU team was a pile of steaming shite most years (blame it on hallman, dinardo, ansparger, dean, or whoever).
Everyone should support all louisiana schools and when they play each other then support your school of choice, this makes louisiana look better to everyone in the country.

LSUBRAD....I agree La schools should support one another. It is a bit hypocritical to say this when Tech dodges ULM year after year. Truth is, Tech is scared shitless because they know, deep down beneath that facade of delusion, ULM is basically the same program as Tech. Would be a great game...great for the region....but Tech doesn't want to accept reality that ULM would likely beat them half the time. That's the way I see it.

Dude, the 90s were an anomaly. People act as if LSU never achieved anything pre Nick Saban.
LSU is in the top ten programs all time in wins and bowl wins. LSU was a storied program pre Curly Hallman.

we should be playing tech/ulm/tulane/ull instead of Idaho, Townson, and North Texas. No reason to let that money go out of state with the current budget cuts

Tech has been beating up on ULM, or the Northeastern Louisiana Indians as they used to be known, for the better part of 75 years. Tech has never been afraid to play anyone. ULM and ULL have always wished they could have Tech's program. You coonasses from Lafayette and rednecks from Monroe just don't seem to get that. Tech owns both of those shitty programs. But beat LSU? No.

Tech doesn't play ULM because they would rather claim that they are superior no matter how much it isn't true in order to stretch the fact that they are above the other small schools in the State in order to compare themselves to programs that are higher tier. They hate LSU because We are in reality to what Tech dreams about and wants to be. I grew up in Monroe so I have had a lot of friends that went there and that's the best way to explain it.

I support ULM when they are playing good football but Tech is impossible to support because the minute they do anything that would prove a slight path towards relevance they immediately compare themselves to LSU and as that Tech Thread shows you they talk completely out of their asses

it is a small portion of their fanbase. Most love Tech and LSU.
I'm of the opinion that if we are going to schedule nobody teams like North Texas, Idaho, and Towson then you keep that money in Louisiana

I completely agree with that opinion as well don't get me wrong. These smaller schools should never be allowed to play us and the on state schools should get first dibs and play us more frequently. I would say not the majority of folks in Ruston are that delusional because I have friends that are not. Mostly just the Internet swarm who troll message boards are the most often people who pull the "we are better than LSU" and would never mesh with ULM bc that meant they want to compete with small schools.
