Terrible
Posted on 11/5/12 at 7:09 pm to ProjectP2294
Nick seems so out of place and they are pointlessly trying to give him a back story just to (im assumming) get rid of him in this episode
Its like they completely forgot until the last second that this guy hasnt been talked about at all but hes just there like hes always been there

The writers are mailing it in.

Wow. Im speechless how terrible that scene was.

The only redeeming quality of that episode was the Jax beer cooler in Ted's apt.

Are they setting this up for Ted and Robin to get together?

I could go on another HIMYM rant just based on this episode. That was so awful

I feel like nothing has happened for the last year, were just seeing the same thing over and over again.i will seriously be pissed if they bring the whole Ted and Robin thing back into play. I am prepared to be disappointed with the way this will end.

Especially since they've called her "Aunt Robin" a hundred times to the kids.
My GF may have called it, they are going to pull some weak arse, "and kids, that's how Aunt Robin became your Mom" bullshite to cover their tracks.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe their parents are just some random chick Ted knocked up. Since the kids do seem to be close in age they could just be twins. Or I guess their biological mother died and Ted married Robin.

This show has become fricking terrible, I just want it to end so badly. Barney is the only redeeming quality of this show right now.
"She did find out, but we'll get to that"
When Ted? When the frick are you going to get to the god damn point? If I was his kid I would've told him to finish the fricking story or move so I can play FIFA after season 5...

I didn't watch tonight
Is it worth it? I've been losing interest and not having new episodes the past 2 weeks hasn't helped

It advanced the story a little but nothing shocking at all. Watch it to laugh at Barney, if not just read the synopsis

I agree that it's annoying but there's been what 150 total episodes and maybe 15 of them have been dedicated to moving the plot forward?
The show just isn't as funny any more which is the biggest problem.

The first episode he tells how he met Aunt Robin NOT your mother.

To be honest, and hear me out, with they way I think they are going with this, I'd prefer it.
After thinking about this, I really see the series coming down to the last scene: "And Kids, thats how I met your mother." The. End.
With all the crap that weve watched with Ted, I'd be more upset if it were just some random chick. Why her? Why this one? What has happened to Ted to make him grow up and be ready to settle down? At least with Robin, they have a history, so it wouldn't leave you with a bunch of questions.
That being said, it will require some major revisions/explanations to pull it off with some of the hints they've given.
Edit, Ramrod, I do remember the first episode. But I wouldnt put it past them.

Horrible episode and writing.
Ted: "All of a sudden, I do NOT want to settle down and commit to you."
Victoria: "And all of a sudden, I must insist that you choose between your best friend, and me. Because that's what adults do, and my character has been having problems with Robin forever."
