tbob killed drive after drive through the entire regular season before he finally got benched. He was worth -14 points vs Bama in the first game alone.

Interesting stats. I wish I had hurried pass attempts, but I can't find that stat anywhere. Obviously, these are the three teams believed to be our toughest competition left on the schedule. On paper, the stats are comparatively very close. I certainly don't want our QB getting hit, but these stats show that we're not alone....

but.....but.....but

12-10 and 1/9/12

In all honesty, nice post and thank you for posting legit stats to show we arent' the only ones with issues to fix. I've been saying WKU got 6 sacks against Bama's OLine, but half the rant won't stop slobbering Bama's junk long enough to actually look at the facts.

And for those who talk about schedule, please tell me the quality teams that the others on this list have played. LSU has Washington and Auburn. Bama has Michigan and Arkansas? Forida has aTm and Tenn. USCe has Mizzou and Vandy?

I would argue that Auburn has the best DL of all the competition right now and certainly the best individual player with Lemonier.

Disagree with Bama and usce. Blowouts had backups in which probably lead to those numbers.

Please keep this updated as the competition gets better for all teams involved. LSU's stats don't look too bad, but we haven't exactly played any great defenses yet.

McCarron got sacked 6 times against WKU, I believe. They also didn't run the ball that well. Their fans were questioning their offensive line following that game.

An offensive lineman struggled against a current and future 1st round defensive lineman? Say it ain't so.

but will Miles do the right thing.

We know that the coaches have to see the problem. Whether or not Miles chooses to do anything about it is another story.

I wouldn't hold my breath though.

how about Josh D vs Idaho DE Mr. Nobody Jones?

Is he a projected first rounder?

The sack statistic doesn't really tell the whole tale of effectiveness of an O line.

If you have a QB who holds the ball too long or WRs that don't get open then you can't really blame the O line.

Just some food for thought..

what if you try to cut block the DE like a retard and he sacks the QB in like 0.9 seconds?

That would probably be on the O line sir

But I'm talking about a QB standing in the pocket for 5 or 6 seconds

Wow. great post! That puts things in perspective a bit. We still need for the O line to step up, but .... it looks par for the coursed.

You mean the plays where he was in with a strained calf and pulled himself out after he realized he was a liability with his leg?

I swear Max, JD could be playing lights out, and you are probably sitting in your beanbag chair waiting for him to give up a sack so you can come on here and make some comment about coleslaw.
