Ever wonder where he went? Well look to the Frozen Tundra and keep heading north. He's in the Canadian Football League(for now). He is now the Offensive Coordinator for my Winnipeg Blue Bombers. I don't read too many good things about him. In fact before the season started a local radio station asked Scott Van Pelt what he thought of Crowton. He laughed and said "Good luck with that!". Well now my beloved Blue Bombers are 2-9 and in our last 3 games we have been out scored 28-120! The CFL typically is higher scoring than the NFL so 28 points in 3 games is pathetic. I just wanted to see what you all thought of him and should our Management team should have seen this coming. Was he so bad that you kicked him out of you country? Or is he good and he's getting thrown under the bus?

He was good (arguably) when the spread/pistol was relatively new. Sucks now. Blames the coaches/players for terrible schemes

Crowton was a joke, is a joke and will always be a joke. He made a name for himself at every stop he has made on the backs of players who were coached by other people. When it came time for him to develop players he failed miserably. Gary Crowton was to Les Miles as Lou Tepper was to Gerry Dinardo. Thank god that Miles suggested that Crowton look for other opportunities ( Miles does not fire people he finds them another job. See Peveto and Mallory) and Maryland was stupid enough to hire him to screw up Danny O'Brien. Be careful Blue Bomber fans if he stays he will bring in JJ to save your team. Longer short side option and read one and run.
