also Market Basket on Nelson Road still uses the old Meres Groc recipe and they have their own smoke house out back. The jalapeno is pretty tasty

Maxwell's on Line Ave in Shreveport is the only place I'll buy Andouille. The stuff in the supermarkets is crap.

Redlich's City Cash (Formerly Vidrines) Basile LA. haven't found any better. Very heavy smoke just like I like it.
For those that like a wet and spicy Boudin link they have a really good one.

Y'all don't realize how lucky you are to have access to good sausage. You can't get anything in Missouri that's worthy of going in gumbo, red beans or jambalaya.
I get Manda mostly because Cajun Grocer carries it, but I admit I really do like it. When I cook jambalaya or red beans for people at work, they can't believe how good the sausage is.
Conecuh is really good as well and another poster mentioned Downhome brand that you can get in West Monroe and I like that on the grill.

Only as long as people around louisiana keep them in business. Once they're gone we're stuck with Wal-mart just like everyone else
