Yeah but by the time he comes back the other backs will be in mid to late season form and he'll have to play some serious catch up

good point. with our depth (#27-#11-#42-#33) all we need is an oline that rocks and a qb that can keep them honest. Les won't let him play until he is ready to hit the ground running.

Unless the original diagnosis was off I don't see this as any help for the tigers.

If the original diagnosis was correct he would be out for the season.

He will be rehabbing 2-3 times per day to stay strong. The biggest thing is getting back into the flow of things once he is cleared for contact. The coaching staff will not just throw him back in there like nothing happened. He will slowly be worked back into the rotation.

Why do you think he'll suck because he hurt his knee?

He may not be "done for the season" but he's mostly done for the season. If that makes sense.

So is it like a will Blackwell situation where he returns for a bowl game?

See there is your problem. I never said he would suck! I actually said the opposite by saying if we weren't loaded I would be wanting him back as soon as practical. I think Blue will be 90% or less through december 1st.

I do not think a Blue at 90% is better than Ford or Ware or Hill or Magee or Hilliard. AND THAT is why I don't see him helping the team by playing late in the season.

So do you know something we don't, as far as a diagnosis?

No I don't that is why I put the disclaimer "unless the original diagnosis was wrong".

All I have read is from Coach Miles' himself that Blue is expected to miss a few weeks and that's all they are speculating on at this point..

If he was out for the season then they would say it. Just as they have for the other players. Why is this so hard for people to believe he isn't out for the season?

What is the original diagnosis.. and even so what does that even matter at this point.

I don't find it hard to believe. If his knee is all tore up he is for all practical purposes out for the season. If his knee is not all tore up then he will be back sooner. I DON'T KNOW HOW BAD HIS KNEE WAS TORN UP!

This. They thought it was worse than it actually is at first. But they're probably also taking a wait and see approach to see if he'll need surgery. All depends on how well he heals...

I thought it was a mcl/acl sprain? no surgery needed if thats the case i think.. Even if no tears it could still take nearly the rest of the season before he can play. usually sprains are 1-2 mnths approx.. Also it will take time after hes cleared before he's confident enough to go 100%.. Maybe its a minor sprain and we could see him ready to go against bama or miss st?
