things may change once they are able to recoup the loss scholarships and get those #1 ranked recruiting classes into the mix, but it's gotta be substance over style.
you can get all of the 5* skilled players all you want, but you know where the bread and butter lies if you want to compete with the blueprint that stanford/bama/lsu plays with.

I'd like to hear the USC fans on this one?

1 of those 3 is not like the others.

quote:Predicted the Stanford loss, and the Utah loss. Still think we have a shot at beating Oregon, as we match up better with them, but attrition is killing us. We really DONT have any depth, and as the season goes on, it's harder to beat good teams with depth when you don't have any.

Sanctions make it difficult, but we can still have a good season.

Rldsc predicted a shite game too.
Said sc plays like arse each year for the road PAC opener.

Why did Peyton Manning go 0-4 vs Florida?

USC is soft. Plan and simple.
That's why. They play a finesse brand of football

plus USC recruits think its an all-star team on their way to the NFL. I'm sure Bama recruits think the same thing but then Saban cusses them out 100 times and they get the picture.

ESPN told me USC had a good defense. I guess they put it up against a B12 defense.

Because he's actually a nice guy and knows how much the rest of the country enjoys his team losing

well for at least 2 of those years, stanford was just better than USC
Stanford looked like the better team this year, too.
USC's lines were getting shoved around.

Plain and simple. Our offensive line is horrible this year.
I decided not even to watch the game live-- I went and saw Thievery Corporation play here in DC. I did DVR it, but erased that too so as not to raise my blood pressure with a God awful hangover (and seeing the Saints shite the bed too made me less excited to watch it).
After seeing how awful we were against Syracuse in person, I was fairly sure we would be flat. We always play horribly in our PAC-12 road opener.
One thing I hope this loss does is rally the players. I said to friends last week that it seemed like we were playing not to lose. Now maybe the mentality will change to playing to win.

And Michigan St and Western Kentucky.
It's power football on offense, ball control, and aggressive defense.
Stanford will never be a true national power, because premiere DTs and CBs can't get into Stanford. But they will excel at producing OL, TEs, FBs, and LBs, with the occasional premiere Safety and RB thrown in with solid players everywhere else.
