He was saying more accidents probably occur in vehicles than in boats. You have a freaking statistic for that are just another jackass comment?

I know what he was saying, but it was a downright stupid assertion. Do you really think it is more dangerous to drive down LA1 than to go 3 miles offshore by yourself in a kayak?

The basis of his argument was (I have to assume because he provided no real support) that more deaths/accidents occur on LA1 than in kayaks in the Gulf, which is absolutely true. However, the number of people driving down LA1 is WAY higher, so the actual factor of danger is significantly lower. Again, statistics, look into them. It's like arguing that flying is safer than driving because there are less crashes each year.

ETA: Don't be so butthurt. If you want to whine about my input into your thread, do it there. There really is no need to carry a grudge here.
