What Are You Hoping to See At the Game This Weekend?

First and foremost, injury free football, obviously. Beyond that, I'd like to see:
1. Mettenberger play as little as possible after the game is out of reach. Ideally, that would be one quarter. Let's see Rivers play 2 quarters and either Randall or Bolden play the 4th.
2. Get some of the guys involved that have been slumping. I know I'm in the minority, but I'd like to see Shepard break out of his slump and have 3-4 passes thrown his way. Also, I'd love to see him at punt returner or on kickoffs. Don't get me wrong, OBJ has been OUTSTANDING, but I'd like to see a capable backup step in and feel Shepard could STILL be that guy. And if he fumbles or can't bring it out to the 25, pull the plug on the experiment.

Mett needs to be in the game all of the 1st half AT LEAST. You forget he still only has 2 starts under his belt. The dude needs reps and this is the perfect game for him to get some.

All I hope for is no injuries. We will probably play a little sloppy but as long as we get a win I'll be happy.

This is totally unrealistic. Mett has only started 2 games at the D1 level and is going on the road to play an SEC game next week. He definitely needs to play more than 1 quarter.

But seriously when was the last time you saw the 3rd string qb play in an LSU game just because we were blowing someone out. Its gonna be Mett for the first half no doubt. Rivers may come in at about the 4th.

I understand the perspective that Mett needs more reps, but realistically, how much better will Mett he be from playing one quarter vs. two?
I'm more concerned with Rivers lack of experience, if Mett goes down. I feel that the team stands to benefit more from Rivers getting snaps in this game. Otherwise, when will Rivers get meaningful snaps? Chances are, not during SEC play.

Well it could get him an extra 6-7 throws which could be big if there was something in particular they wanted to work on during the game. It would give him the possibility of running a 2 minute drill before the half. Also, just an extra quarter of getting timing down with the rest of the offense, which cannot be duplicated at game speed in practice.

I agree that its important to get Rivers some snaps, however it is still more important for Mett to get the snaps and experience first and foremost. He is the starting quarterback and he still is incredibly inexperienced.
Bolden definitely does not need any snaps in this game...you say let Rivers get 2 quarters, well thats fine let Mett and Rivers play a whole half.
How many teams out there are working a third quarterback in their rotation? Mett needs the experience and it would be nice to have the ability to get Rivers in there to get some as well.
