Yeah its my first year doing a survivor league but it looks like you have to stay away from road games

Its usually smart to. But especially for a team like the Saints that is usually mediocre on the road

No, the Texas over Miami was the biggest lock, Pats this week is #2

Texans over Jags, Cowboys over Seahawks
I'd take Texans even though they are on the road. These two are good.
Patriots the obvious choice, unless saving them.
I might mull over picking Cincinnati though.

that's what someone on this board said about buffalo over NYJ
if you pay attention, you'll notice he picks Buffalo as a survivor lock every week...

ummm that's mikey, the biggest buffalo supporter on this board and he says that the first week every year

I lasted like one week last season, so frick "saving teams"

The bigger question is WHY would you use the Pats this early in Survivor??? They have 5-star future value. They play Miami 2x late in the season and play Indy. Wouldn't use them before week 10.
I definitely understand this strategy, but for my third year playing Survivor, I want to make it far enough to have painted myself into a corner by already using all the good teams. Sounds like a good problem to have rather than getting bounced out by Week 5. I went with Chicago and now New England.
After all that, watch them lose.

I think I'm taking Oakland over Miami.

that happened to me last year. Made it to week 10 or so and had nobody left to pick

If you are playing just for pride I understand this strategy. Once $$$ becomes involved in a winner take all pool, that strategy goes by the wayside.

Not even remotely close. Hell Houston was a significantly bigger lock against Miami last week

Saints are actually one of the best teams on the road the last three years. I want to say I head detellier say they were 16-8.

I don't trust Oakland, especially on the road
Posted on 9/11/12 at 1:25 pm to Cap Crunch
I thought the Saints at home against the Redskins would have been the biggest lock.
Also teased them 13 points to replace my Florida State game that got rained out, and still lost at +5.5!!!

Doesn't matter if you're talking about history or just this week. There is now way in hell that Dallas over Seattle IN Seattle is the biggest lock or even a lock.

The Saints have one of the best road records in the league over the last few years.

Houston is a serious super bowl contender and Miami is contending for a #1 pick this year. So ya I'd say it's a bigger lock then Arizona at New England.
