Each to our own, but I want every team we play to be undefeated till we play them.

Way to quote Alabama's friggin theme song!

So let me get this straight. Alabama leads Michigan by 5 points, 4 seconds left, Michigan with the ball at the 2 yd line, last play of the game. Denard Robinson fakes to the RB and looks for a seam. You guys are gonna actually be standing up screaming for an Alabama LB to plug the hole and stop him at the 1?? Sick.

FWIW, I don't believe you. I believe if Robinson finds the hole and sprints into the end zone, you're gonna jump up outta your seat and laugh hysterically. I say that, because I'm giving you credit as LSU fans, and I know that you would find pleasure in watching Alabama having victory yanked away at the last minute like that.

Oh, and FWIW, Bama by 17+...take it to the bank.

A win-win situation IMHO.

LSU controls it's own destiny. We're ranked #3. We go undefeated, we'll be in Miami.

Crimson Legend - couldn't agree with you any more than I have... ever. I'd say our rivalry being the greatest in the SEC is upon us.

Who knew hatred could be such fun?

I will be pulling to UM also. I'm sick and tired of all the Bama love.

Good question. I'm guessing LSU would've still won the SEC but Bama wouldn't have gotten the mulligan. Maybe LSU gets the rematch against Oregon, or plays Okie.

I agree with the premise of your post, but thought I'd point something out to you, since you seem to be confused about something...

College Football Poll that counts...

LSU fans can be such pussies. frick bama I want them to be great. Beating an undefeated bama team is better than beating a 2-3 loss bama team. I would much rather be the only team to beat them and frick up their season.

So now it's pussy to root against Bama? Wow now they've gotten to you too. You feel obligated to root for Bama to prove you're a man.

You also must've missed last season where LSU beat an undefeated Bama and "ruined" their season...it takes more losses for Bama to be out of the NC than an ordinary team. Probably bc the voters are like you and trying to prove their manliness.

These gumps on the plane stink and look dirty. I'm teaming up with Michigan fans. The smelly gumps keep bringing up 16 NC they dreamed up.

I want Michigan to crush them. The rest of the SEC is the enemy right now, this is war.

I want AJ to come out of this game with a severe hangnail that will bother him the rest of the season.

Its not for rooting against bama. Its all the doubt they have. In need of constant reassurance from the media and being scared to play a GREAT bama team so pull for them to lose so they will be demoralized by the time they play us. FYI as long as they have CNS the game will be a war....so I would rather them be great than average.

Our fanbase can be pussies based on the threads on here....So and so says FSU has the best defense, We were picked 7th by this guy, they arent picking us for the title game. Who gives a frick what someone says its not like picking USC or Bama is a stretch. Our fanbase can't take some "experts" honest opinion. Anyone who speaks their mind hates LSU...fricking pathetic.

You also must have missed how great the atmosphere was surrounding the first game. I like that exposure as an LSU fan. An undefeated LSU team playing a 3 loss bama team this year will be a dissappointment. The media will ignore our game and pump up the USC/Oregon game which will ensue in a bunch of crying from our fans. If all teams are undefeated that w/e LSU fans will already be crying b/c espn is going to hype the ABC game over the CBS game.

Who is the only team to play for the title with 2 losses?

Maybe the gumps and the Mich. fans can compare how many unrecognized championships the claim. Note to gumps on this board. AP poll started in 1938. the poll was not recognized until 1950, the coaches poll was recognized later. Holgate, Tuscalooser News and other regional polls do not count. Most national titles before 1950 had multiple teams claiming them due to the regional bias of the poll 1941 is a great example of this ( By the way the AP had Minnesota at 1). This is the reason that most universities only recognize titles after 1950 and celebrate the teams that had great seasons before 1950 ( such as the 1908 LSU team).

It's not quite that simple. 1941 is not a "great example" it is an outlier - it is ridiculous that we claim that year as a national championship, and I can't understand why we do. But Alabama was absolutely, clearly the champions in 1926 with the victory in the Rose Bowl. Just because the AP wasn't around then doesn't invalidate being the champions in those polls which did exist and were legitimate.

What about the polls that awarded NC's prior to the bowls? Or, claiming them from non-legit media like Good Housekeeping.
