Drove right by Keith Young's yesterday, definitely didn't take on any water and I didn't see any trees down in the front. Not sure about the back, pretty confident it came out just fine.

Can anyone tell me which Northshore restaurants have been severely damaged/closed by Isaac? Any updates on Keith Young's Steakhouse in Madisonville, Nuvolari's, etc?
Someone said that Friends was totally thrashed by some gnarly waves. Can anyone kangfirm that?

I can't say for sure, but given the water I took, they definitely took a few feet.

Hell yeah!! Just got power in Ponchatoula. That was fast

The owner of friends posted on facebook yesterday the restaurant took on a lot of water....But when they updated the restaurant recently didn't they put concrete up to the windows? I think it was somewhat flood resistant. A place that close to the river should be prepared to catch a few feet of water every 5-10 years. I think they will be ok given a little time. Just my opinion. Not sure if ya'll saw the pics I posted last night but downtown MAD was 3-4 feet underwater yesterday. Hopefully the waters are receeding.

Parents got it back in downtown Ponchy just south of 22. And I got it back about 8pm off of Sisters Rd.

You have any water in the streets in Madison Farm?
I'm north of the I-12 in Savannah Trace, never lost power and the ditches were barely full by 6pm last night, Wednesday. Now there's 4-9 inches of water in the streets and front/back yards of the houses towards the back of the subdivision. It rose about 5 inches today. The houses look like they are on islands about 3 feet above the water level. Bedico creek runs towards the back of the subdivision but at 25 feet above sea level, I thought it would pile up farther downstream.
I hope this slow moving storm was a near worse case scenario.

I live in savannah trace also. The water in the streets is unreal. It hasn't gone down at all this evening. I have only lived here two years. Do you know if it has ever flooded like this before?

I heard it was bad for Katrina, but I evacuated and didn't witness it. I had bought the house in here 18 days before it hit. Water overflows the ditches into street about once every couple of years but doesn't cover the street. There was a heavy rain(not Gustav) after Katrina that did cover the streets completely but not likely as deep as this.
I suppose this might have been a near worse case scenario with an extremely slow moving storm that passed to our west.
I'm surprised at how dry the front of the subdivision is.

I am more toward the front and I noticed today that my house is not built up as high on my lot as houses in the back so I guess the front must be a good bit higher.
I think a big part of the flooding is that the two ponds finally filled up and overflowed and there is just no where for the water to go

It's about a foot higher. I know that some people on the homeowner's association were fussing at one time about newer homes in the back sections being built using more fill. Good thing no one listened or some might have water in them today.
