He (Wilson) is one of those guys, forget about 6'4, 6'5, the prototypical NFL QB, he won, he won big, he won big at the end of the games, he won big in big games, everybody responded to him.

Hmmm. It is like Terry didn't actually watch Wisconsin last year. There were 4 games that came down to the "end of the game," and the Badgers lost 3 of them - including an embarrasing "Ole Miss" moment against Oregon for Wilson.

He really isn't that far off. Flynn was solid at LSU, but he just did his job - didn't light it up by any means. And yes, that great game was a huge reason as to why he got paid.

I still think he can be a starter in the NFL though.

LSU avg what 38+ points with Flynn that season?

He was good. Especially in the 2nd half of games.

"Matt Flynn was barely any good at LSU. Had one great game in the NFL and got rich off it"

First part is wrong. Second part is dead accurate.

Actually, anytime Matt Flynn came in for Green Bay he did well. So the one great game set records, but he had a lot of games were he did well in substituting for Aaron Rogers.

I have seen some of the highlights of Wilson and most looked like a toss and somehow catch plays. If that is what they want, then let them have it. Matt Flynn can qb and throws some nice passes. Wilson is a run and shoot type of gb and good at it i think.

It does not mean like rantards do, that you need to demean one player to push for another. I thought Bradshaw would be a better analyst than that.

Did anyone hear on TV just now that the other QB at Seatle got traded to the Buffalo Bills today. That leaves Wilson and Flynn at the Seahawks.

I'm not even sure that I'd say his statement about being successful in one NFL game is really true.

Agreed.

It's certainly true that he had an eye-popping game (actually, I picked him for my fantasy team to replace Rodgers that week but still didn't win ) but I get the impression the game simply solidified what a lot of people in the game already believed about him.

He was good but not great. To say he wasn't good is unfair, but I think I kind of understand what he's trying to say.

You have to consider that he is an NFL analyst, not a College analyst. His opinions might be a little off

I don't necessarily agree with TB but I can understand the viewpoint. It's not like Flynn has really proven anything and by most accounts, he's losing the battle to Wilson for the starting job. Doesn't mean that Seattle will not start him anyway, because of money, but almost everyone with some knowledge of the situation is saying Wilson is winning the battle. Imo, no way Flynn's contract is fully completed, at least in Seattle. Question is, who's gonna trade for him now with that big cap number? He may become a cap casulty in the next year or 2.

So, Flynn got rich off of one game. Okay, I'll bite: STILL more than Wilson has accomplished. If Seattle thinks they're going to win with a rookie QB, while the rest of their team is average, they are sorely mistaken.

Terry obviously got hit in the head too many times while playing. The effects from such are starting to get more pronounced. The other thing is that Terry is probably doing a little bit of sour grapes. Even he admitted that he was not smart enough to get into LSU at the time. Funny thing was they had open admissions back in that day.

Just mad he couldn't make it to LSU

This. I like Bradshaw, but that comment was pretty dumb. Flynn led one of the most prolific offenses in LSU history and won a BCSNC. He also got to sit behind and learn from some really great QBs in his short time in the NFL. His ceiling might not be as high as Wilson's, but he is drastically more experienced and prepared to lead the team.

ESPN was hyping Flynn up all off-season saying he would end up a starter somewhere and make some team without a QB very happy. Now ESPN is jumping on Wilson's dick after 3 pre-season games (it really started after game 2) and expecting Flynn to continue as a bench warmer. ESPN is very, very into the flavor of the month.

Bradshaw speaking off the cuff. He does it all the time. That's why he has that job. Can't have dead air on nat'l TV. That's unacceptable.

Is there anybody any on this whole board that thinks Bradshaw is smart. I don't even think he's average.

Bradshaw got filthy rich off the Steel Curtain. What if him and Archie switched places?

Always been a Bradshaw fan so I'm a little disappointed in him for saying that. He usually is pretty complimentary in all things LSU.
I believe he has used the "I'm not very smart" to his advantage. Anybody who won 4 Super Bowls calling his own plays is pretty smart in my book.
