Beer Style Question

Is there a style of beer that blends the dark malts and chocolate/coffee flavor of a stout with the extreme hoppyness of an IPA/DIPA? I haven't seen anything like this and am interested if it even exists outside of something some homebrewer cooked up in his basement.

Maybe Storm King Stout brewed by Victory. It's a Russian Imperial Stout and is probably what you're looking for.

:mindblown:
I seriously can't think of that type of beer off the top of my head. I guess what you are looking for is a hoppy stout?
Possibly imperial stouts might be what you are searching for.

Some of the black IPAs are like hoppy porters IMO. Also, Evil Twin Yin & Yang blend (imperial stout mixed with a DIPA) might be what he is looking for.

Give black IPAs/American Black Ales a try. Might be up your alley.

Have you heard of Black IPAs?
If not, start with Stone Sublimely Self Righteous.

Russian imperial stouts are generally pretty hoppy

Evil Twin Yin Yang is a good example of what you're looking for.
Russian imperial stouts are more happy than regular stouts. Black IPA's are probably more what you're looking for though. Stone 15th Anniversary was the best I've had.

Thanks for all the help, the only Imperial Russian Stout I have really had is Old Rasputin which I really like but I guess i was looking for something with a little more hop kick to it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I really think Black IPAs are what you are looking for.
