Tried it last week. It's the real deal ladies and gents. Their authentic street tacos Reminded me of Taco Cabana, only better. Tried the grilled beef, chicken, and ground beef and they were all excellent. The chips and salsa were also very good.

It's really good but with El Taqueria right down the road, I have a tough time going back. It's very good though.

Went back to Mr. Taco a few times since the OP. I was hoping the first time greatness wasn't a fluke.

If anything it has seemed to have gotten better every time. I'd highly recommend the carne asada street taco and the chicken street taco. Those have become my 1-2 punch.

I think Mr. Taco is one of the best-kept secrets in town.

Yeah the place on Siegen Lane. Cheap prices and lots of quality authentic food.

I have to go try this again. 1st time I got the 3 taco and soup combo plate and the tacos were tiny. I'm talking Barbie size, about 3" across, I thought it was a joke.

A friend told me the burritos were very good, so maybe their tacos are a weak spot, go figure.

I think that's pretty standard at most taquerias.

Hmm. I guess taqueria is Spanish for "ripoff the gringos". Seriously, I was just not prepared for the nanotaco, next time I will ask and order appropriately.

If you are serious, Mr. Taco is the only taqueria I have experienced tiny tacos. Taquerias and taco trucks in Houston and Dallas included.

These are by far the smallest tacos I've ever encountered at any taqueria. I spent what I would at any of the other authentic places in town and left hungry. Give me La Mexicana any day.
