His basically plays his "brother" Seth in that one.

I think he's very good as a comedian and as an actor he has a lot more potential than just playing idiots.

My man, you are missing número uno. "Hey I know I'm supposed to be Hitlers BFF, but I'm Tom Cruise, and that's who I'm going to play."

The only movies he's been in since then are Inception and J. Edgar???
Agree with Clooney, although O Brother is an obvious exception where he went outside the box.
I had this same thought a couple of weeks ago when I watched that sneak of the new Matthew Perry show after the Olympics and I thought "Goddamn it's Chandler Bing ten years later."

Idk about this one.
Were The Book of Eli, American Gangster, Man on Fire, The Great Debaters really Denzel playing himself?

Just some date material.
I don't consider Liam Neeson an amazing actor but I think he's a good actor. But IMO when an actor gets a certain age, it's hard for them to just pull roles that let them break out be a character actor or even a role to blow yo away. It happens, but it's harder for an older actor to do. Jack Nicholson falls in that category too. He has done some great roles, some really great roles. But has he played himself lately? Sure. Doesn't bother me though. De Niro was a frwaking amazing actor in his prime, but look at his list of movies lately and it's pretty dang bad. I'm not holding that against him.
Also, I don't hate on comedians for that either. Sure you're Will Ferell in this movie, but that's why I'm laughing, because you are funny. I want to you be funny in a lot of movies. How many comedians can we name that can be character actors? Not many. Jim Carey. I'm having a hard time thinking of some.
