Tyrion dies soon IMO, and likely does something terrible in the process. The last excerpt GRRM released was way too clearly revealing the traumatic issues he deals with mentally. He has been balancing the line of messed up and being justified, think he tips the scales in winds.
Highly doubt it. Tyrion has too many unresolved issues in Westeros for me to believe that. Plus I really think Tyrion became friends with Jon Snow for a reason.

Arya doesn't even know him really, and he's not even on her list. The odds of them meeting at all much less anytime soon would be extremely small. He would definitely kill Cersei in a heartbeat, but he'd never kill Tommen or his niece.
Tyrion is basically Martin's personality/white knight injected in the story, no way in hell he goes bad in that way. Not sure where you are getting any of that from, dude selflessly saved Aegon in the last book and consistently goes out of his way to save both Jorah and Penny multiple times in the last book. He's the same old Tyrion, regardless of situation.

I'd agree that its a basic certainty that Tommen is a goner in the next novel. It will be incredibly sad.

He's talking about Arya killing him, not Tyrion.

I would actually respect GRRM more if he has Tyrion die. We all know that Tyrion has a lotttt of plot armor and is his favorite character, so it would be interesting to see if he does die. And Dany is a goner for sure towards the end of ADoS.
Agreed on him taking out Tyrion being a solid move, even though Arya and Tyrion are the two I most want to see alive at the end. But somebody has to keep the Lannisters going at the end of the series, and I think Martin is too much of a historian to see them wiped out completely.
As far as Dany goes I think one of her and Jon lives, and the other dies. Could go either way, but I'd agree she's more likely.

Arya isn't a he, perhaps he meant it that way, but doesn't look like that to me.

When has he ever built someone up and not killed them off?
"White knight" might as well be a license to die.

Do you mean one of her dragons will live, or that between Jon and Dany that one will die, and the other lives??
Without a doubt I think Jon will survive over Dany. Dany sitting on the throne and living happily ever after with her dragons is anti-Martin for sure.

You mean besides Stannis, Davos, Dany, Tyrion, Brienne, Jaime, Bran, Sansa?
He's not going to have Tyrion escape certain death multiple times and travel all the way to Dany just to die in the next book, that would be a total waste of time.
Much like Jon will be alive, because otherwise it's just a complete waste of time.
Every death of a major character has served a purpose in the greater plot, be it Ned, Robb, Joffery, Tywin, The Red Viper, and so on. Even the largely worthless plot with the Dornish Prince and the dragons will likely lead to Dorne joining up with Aegon.

This is what I meant. And I agree in general, I see Dany being the sacrifice to defeat the others, particularly since Jon will have already "died" once and come back.
But I also wouldn't be surprised to see the opposite happen. But I think there is almost zero chance both live.

You forget that you can't see the service their death serves to the plot until after the fact. If you guessed all the deaths to this point, before they happened, then by all means tell me what happens next. I'm just making a guess of of what I've read, not claiming it to be a certainty.

Well folks, I think I found something that has been of some discussion on here so pardon me for breaking up the who lives and dies among the major characters.
The vision that the dwarf/CoF has at High Heart about the maid slaying the giant in a castle built of snow, of course first thoughts go to the caste Sansa builds. But in AFfC Sansa describes the Eryie as a "caste made of snow." Now that leaves the giant. That giant could easily be UnGregor. Because there's a little gossip girl named Myranda Royce who is prying all sorts of knowledge out of Alayne. Even sees some excitement from her when Randa mentions Jon Snow. Littlefinger even tells Alayne to watch what she says around Myranda. Something tells me ole Gregor is heading for the Vale soon and Sansa is going to be the one to kill him. Of course Sandor will be there but I think he'll still be a little beat up and possibly half dead due to a battle with his brother.
You know as I'm typing this out it feels pretty obvious and likely has already been discussed. But whatever. I'll be on ADwD tomorrow and notes for that will start. "So tired, so very tired."

I'm not saying Tyrion will survive the series, I'm just saying he's not going to die anytime soon. It would make half the last book and the ending of ASOS utterly pointless. Martin isn't going spend all the time moving Tyrion to Dany and have him die over there, he's going to make it back to Westeros and play some role in her crusade.
On a side note however, these aren't Martin's first books or anything, and he has Tyrion type characters in an number of his other novels. And those characters typically live in his novels. So it would actually be more in Martin's wheelhouse for Tyrion to live than not.
I'm with lady in that I'd actually be more impressed if he kills Tyrion, even though I want him to survive.

Yeah, it's been discussed a few times, but if we weren't rehashing old discussions in new ways we'd have nothing to discuss at all for the most part in the thread.
She could wind up running into UnGregor and helping the Hound take him out, but that's a wee bit too storybook I think.
Main reason I don't see that happening however is that every other prediction made by the High Heart witch during that segment happened in the same book. And during the end of ASOS Sansa destroys Sweet Robin's castle made of snow. I think it could just be as simple as her smashing the snow castle

On a more crackpot note. I really want to see Mance Rayder turn out to be Ser Arthur Dayne. Its the only theory involving Mance I really get behind. Explains his protective like attitude of John, why he was apparently watching John at the feast in Winterfell, yada yada. Not to mention explaining where he learned his swordsmanship. The fact that he was supposedly raised on the wall, even though nobody remembers him and the men of the watch are sworn to not raise children.
My theory being that Ned offered him the wall, Benjen was sent with him. This gives a little further insight into Ned's sadness at the tower of Joy. He said that Dayne would have killed him had Reed not stepped in the way; I feel like Reed stepped in the way and died. Leaving only Dayne and Ned to walk away from ToJ. Also explaining the cryptic arse turn of heart when the wildling woman added red to Mance's cloak and he decided to leave the wall. The red reminding him of John's rightful Targ cloak possibly.
This then leaves the possibility of Dawn being Lightbringer, possibly to be handed down to John by Mance. Further explaining his current mission to Winterfell. Assuming that it is hidden in the crypts along with whatever else. There is still a reason that Lyanna is the only woman buried there.
Its certainly a crackpot, but one I would like to see played out. I can think of few better plot twists than Mance Rayder being the Sword of the Morning.

Thanks for posting!!! Reading it now.
SPOILER WARNING:
Not surprised. I've been saying since I read ASoS that the show was going to show that both Oberyn and Ellaria are bi and that the Dornish are very sexual compared to the rest of the Westerosi, not including the Free Folk.

Instead, Oberyn and his paramour are at the brothel, picking out a girl together. Oberyn also pulls the male attendent into the mix. It's all very sexy

No way one of the most famous knights in the Kingdom could be a member of the Watch an people not recognize him. Most of the Watch would have seen him fight in a tourney at some point, at least the leadership. Mormont would have known him on sight. Just doesn't make any logical sense.

I like your line of thinking, but I doubt that happens. I think your head is in the right direction, since you know that its a bit too literal and minor for the dwarf woman to say that.
At this point, Littlefinger is actively planning to take over Winterfell using Sansa as his ultimate pawn. You may think of Littlefinger's sigil as a Mockingbird, but Littlefinger's House Sigil is the Titan of Braavos. I think that he and Sansa make it to Winterfell only to have Sansa kill him there in the "castle made of snow".
