Yeah, how are they going to explain how Margaery, Loras, Willas, Garland are all good looking yet he's fugly? Something doesn't add up...

The last 2 books so long and i stilldont know how he is gonna fot everything in. I mean sseriously no major battles have taken place in like 3 books. Danny ia no closer to her army than she was in book 1, jon is dead, bran is in the hollow, sir llorys is basically done as far as bbeing a leader goes. Sansa is MIA. The only hope is the dornish/aegon alliance takin shite over and the others gettin stopped by dany + aegon

She already has it, it's just she doesn't have boats. Luckily a giant navy is coming her way.

For the time being.

I seriously doubt Loras is in any mortal danger. Cersei was the only one who was told that, and whatever anyone tells her I'd take with a grain of salt, since the only way to get things done was to make sure she had nothing to do with it, or else it was screwed.

Littlefinger is about to strike.

I doubt that aliance between Dany and Aegon is going to happen, especially when Tyrion doesn't trust Varys or Illyrio as far as he can throw them.

Aegon will have Dorne and Highgarden backing him. He'll tell Dany to frick off in person, IMO. Maybe even take a dragon.

I agree, which is why I'm saying those 2 are not going to unite. I'm predicting Margeary poisons Tommen, and Aegon uses Jaime to kill Cersei and stop her new wildfyre plot. Once Jaime flees Stoneheart, he'll hear of Aegon's arrival and know it is his chance for redemption in failing Rhaegar. He'll go meet almost certain death, but Aegon will spare him as long as he helps him conquer King's Landing, which Jaime agrees to do only if they spare Tommen and make him Lord of Casterly Rock. Aegon will agree, but the Tyrells will pull a Tywin Lannister and kill the boy king themselves to prove their loyalty to the new crown.

I think Tommen dies because Cersei tries to poison Margeary. This will cause Jaime to bring her down.
With Dorne on Aegon's side, Highgarden will oppose him because they do not want Dorne having more power.

No, they'll support him because he'll wed Margeary. Dorne supports him because they think he's Elia's son. Their might be some tension between the families but I do remember reading that Oberyn and the crippled Tyrell son had been having some type of communication so the Tyrell's and Martell's are probably on the same page.

About horse breeding. Does that lead anywhere? Its so hard to take even the smallest detail from these books at face value.

Olenna is not going to let past bad blood between the two houses not get in the way of her family's survival. You can be sure that the Tyrells are seeing that because of Cersei that the Lannister alliance is beginning to crumble, and they're sure as hell not going down with the ship.

Just finished DwD, so I am new to this thread, & have a couple of questions that have likely already been brought up-
1) What happened to Robb's letter?
Prior to the RW in SOS Robb sent a letter North with a Mormont(Jorah's sister or cousin) I assumed it would legitimize Jon & name him King of the North. Wasn't shown in the show & don't think it has come up in the last 2 books.
2)Varys' deals
Did he have Tyrek killed or captured? Seems to me that once Lancel confessed, what good would Tyrek's info be?
Why would Varys conspire to a deal that would marry Arianne to Viserys, if he knew that Rhaegar's son was still alive?

1. A mormont chick has the letter, she is currently searching for Greywater Watch and Howland Reed.

Tyrek has me at a complete loss. I think he knew that Viserys wouldn't make it across the Dothraki sea. He and Viserys manipulated him from the start to remove him. By marrying Aegon to Dany, it brings the Targ Blackfyre lines together.

That's what I was wondering, she was in Riverrun headed to Greywater Watch. Since then, Sam has gone from North of the Wall to across the Narrow Sea and then back to Oldtown. Ayra got to Riverrun after she left and has been in Braavos the last two books.

Pretty sure Howland Reed has it at this point.

Well, personally I think he planned on using Tyrek as a possible heir to Casterly Rock once the Lannisters were eliminated, and they could mold Tyrek to the person they want him to be. Then again it's clear Varys wants to use Tyrion to his own gain.

Because Varys had nothing to do with that. That was all the Red Viper and Doran Martell's deal. Varys didn't start manipulating Dany until shortly before the first book.

But since Viserys is dead, wouldn't Doran want Arianne to marry Aegon? Or is he going to be promised to Margaery that quick?
It should be interesting to see how TWoW unfolds. I'm expecting as many, if not more, deaths then in ASoS . And I'm guessing we'll start seeing it all unfold in season 6. Not that far from now if you think about it.

They talked about a lot more than horse breeding. It's even been implied and hinted at in the books.

Well, Quentyn is now dead, and they're already linked to Aegon by blood. Plus if it comes down to it, Aegon can reason that since the original Aegon had two queens, he would as well.

Are you sure? Who was the representative for house targaryen in the deal?

Willem Darry
The prominent theory is that Varys isn't in league with the Targaryens at all. Varys is theoretically a member of the Blackfyres, a bastard clan of Targaryens who want to take over Westeros and destroy the Targaryen dynasty. The theory goes that Varys had a sister named Serra. Being a eunuch, Varys could no longer have children. Illyrio eventually married Varys sister, and while Illyrio claims she was killed by the flux, she actually died in child birth.
That child became Aegon "Targaryen". Unknown to himself, Jon Connington, and everyone else, he is actually a Blackfyre. The Golden Company hates the Targaryen's and are Blackfyre loyalists. They have never broken their contract, and it seems that a Blackfyre coming to take them home is the only way they would. Illyrio has something personal in it and has a great fondness for Aegon.
Varys and Illyrio all these years have just tried to distract Robert Baratheon with Viserys and Dany, while his true threat lived in peace. Dany didn't become important to their plans until she got dragons, and now Illyrio and Varys want them for Aegon.
