impressive show. very tight band. gotta see them. they blew the doors off.
I have the album but not very familiar with song titles. Tulsa Yesterday was a stand out and got jammed out really well. fitting since the show was in Tulsa.
Show started at 8 and ended a little after midnight, with a very short break about 9:45. I'd guess about about 1200 in attendance.
They also played two Grateful Dead covers, Althea and Mr. Charlie. They also played Never Been to Spain. I'm not sure if that's in regular rotation or because they were in Oklahoma ("Never been to Spain, but i've been to Oklahoma").
Gotta love the Cains Ballroom. One of the best indoor venues in the US.

im late to the party, but im really digging the 2 new albums. my buddy hooked me up with a bunch of live shows as well. very very dead like. im going to see them at tips in a few weeks and im very excited. i stayed away from the brotherhood because chris robinsons first solo stuff was way too foofoo, new earth mud i think its called.

I always thought Neal Casal had a groovin Grateful Dead kinda feel to his guitar playing. Cold Roses by Ryan Adams and the Cardinals sounds like a heavily Dead influenced album. He really shines in this band.
I agree. This is different from Chris's other bands.

i didnt bother checking out the brotherhood for the longest time because of his previous projects. when my friend sent me some shows to listen to, i yelled at him for not making me listen to it sooner. im kinda bummed i missed their show in nola during jazzfest.

I've never been to England, but I kinda like The Beatles.
Great song. One of Three Dog Night's best.

The Jazzfest show at Tips was unreal...my group all passed out after the day stuf, so I caught this one solo and was blown away. A real heady couple of hours

Smart idea on the tickets...the line was around the block when I arrived. Easily sold out show that night

I really dig his stuff. I like Rosalee off his new album.
On tour they've been covering a lot of Dead tunes.
It wasn't foofoo as much as it was a different concept than the Crowes. His New Earth Mud stuff was one of those early Sunday Morning playing albums. He performs those tunes as well though.
