Ooh, let's see how many twists we can cram into the last 15 minutes while desperately trying to get people to give a shite about an amazingly shallow character.

Sorry, but it didn't pass my "should I go piss or will I miss something?" test. I also smoked a cigarette sans giving a shite.

This should be the new standard for all action movie reviews.

The remake made the original look like freaking masterpiece.

I wouldn't waste my time with the new one except for the fx

This one. The first one was much better.

I thought that since my expectations were so low, it might not be that bad, but it lived down to every one of them.

If that's all you're looking for, this movie is for you. It had no other redeeming qualities.

Yeah 3 nice boobs were shown and the movie was good for an action movie. It won't make u think too hard but it was entertaining to me. I don't know why people feel the need to pretend that it's the worst movie ever made.

Agreed biglego. I don't expect it to be the best movie ever, but I'm sure there have been worse. I'll probably see it this week.I'm all about a storyline and depth, but I do like to be entertained sometimes too.

I watched it and the new one back to back the other night.

The original's effects actually hold up well.

Light spoilers

I also like how the original took place in a pretty cool and hopeful future, full of space travel, and Johnny Cabs. The new one involved a dead earth and a giant hole between Australia and Britain. (The only two remaining countries <well a country and 'the colony'>)

Doesn't surprise me. Do they even go to Mars in this one?

No.

The Earth sucks, you can't even fly planes anymore. The USA is dead, as is every country but Britain and Australia.

I hated the bleak world of the future. "Mars" became the land down under. But the basic story stayed exactly the same.
