Ok let's clear some shite up.. Loston is "nicked", Collins is fine running at corner opposite Simon. Mills is in place of Mathieu at nickel.

Well nevermind, looks like Collins did get hurt at the scrimmage.

Collins injury is a bigger deal. Ronald Martin or Micah Eugene can easily replace Loston. With Collins hurt we are looking at the #4 CB having to start. Hopefully Collins isn't seriously hurt.

Any other reports from the scrimmage you can mention?

Well, Loston hasn't exactly been great here outside a ST warrior.

I wonder if they'll convert a WR or let Eugene play both CB/S? I'm kinda surprised Thomas isn't ahead of Mills. I thought he was the most polished CB coming into this class.

Who said he was injured besides the guy earlier in the thread? Tigerbru said he isn't. That makes sense to me. Mills playing nickel in TM7's role.

If LSU doesn't push somebody to the CB spot for depth reasons, then that means they're pretty confident in the young guys.

And maybe Mills is just better than Collins in general.

regardless of injuries, we're very lucky to have such an easy start to the season. Any guys with minor injuries now should be up and ready by the time they're needed.

I never counted on Loston lasting an entire season and we don't know what we have in Eugene and Martin.

Martin looked good when he played last season. Don't think we lose anything talent wise (other than depth) if Loston were to be injured. Eugen is untested but reports have been good on him.

the key is pressure. as long as mingo and montgomery pressure the qb, then our cbs will do very well.

Didn't another site say Loston injured his toe? Not broken, just stepped on and bruised. Hurts, but heals in about 5 days, right?
