My contractor wants to pour concrete over the grass for a 30X12 slab for a patio. He wants to just cut it real tight . Is this cool?

I'm not sure I am understand this right.

But he just wants to pour it on top of grass? No forms? No wire mesh? No footings?

It's gonna start dying as soon as the concrete hits it.

In my opinion, he should at least scrape it.

I have poured a bunch of concrete in the last year with various contractors and every one scraped the grass...

Again, just my opinion.
