i agree. sadly there is a rule against it and TM should have been smarter about it.

That is the current rule and they should deal with it. If you are virtually guaranteed millions in the NFL not smoking weed is a very small price to pay.

He said "they" won't let them play. The NCAA didn't decide on weather weed was illegal. It doesn't matter what the rules are. I can work just fine with one beer. If i have any alcohol in my system i get shite canned from work. You know what i do? NOT frickING DRINK.

Whats unfair is he was giving the opportunity of a lifetime. Free education and a chance to make millions of dollars and he pissed it away. I bet there is some kid who would love to have his chance and could make the sacrifices needed to seize the opportunity.

i agree with you. i smoked lots of weed in college over 40 yrs ago. however, rules are rules and it's unfair to let one person break those rules and get away with it. the man knew he was breaking those rules and knew what the ramifications were yet did it anyway. IF you are correct and that was his violation (not saying it is a fact), he chose weed over football and probably over his career. how smart was that? even tho i'm 100% in favor of legalization of pot (only), i'm 150% in favor of having rules to guide our institutions. and our institutions have resulted in us having a superior society.

There is a very simple reason pot is illegal and why alcohol is not. You can test to see if a person is drunk at a specific moment. You can only test if someone has gotten high in the last month. Until there is a test that can tell if your high or not at the moment, weed will remain illegal. With slower reaction time, do you really want your pilot, train conductor, tug operator, or others stoned enough that they could put multiple people in jepordy. I don't even want my fast food cook high, Cuz I want my order done right

It can be if you are self-medicating with it.
