Hadn't heard anything about LSU going after him or anyone really talk about him on here. Just wanted to know are we just a hat on the table for him or we making a late push for him? I know we after Williams, Beckwith, Gilmore, and Willis.

By all accounts UF is pretty much out of it.

Like a lot of the kids that we are in on, but don't get, he doesn't really want to go too far from home.
From the linked story:
quote:
“I will be taking official visits to Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and USC,” Tunsil said.
He's making the right visits. Probably seen all of the Florida schools. Will get to see games in great atmospheres at Bama, Georgia and LSU. Will meet the grove bunnies at Ole Miss and get a trip to LA. All are legendary.

Their writers somewhat feel the same way. Gatorsports.com
quote:
Laremy Tunsil (Lake City, Fla./Columbia) is obviously the No. 1 priority in this group, but the Gators are currently No. 3 for his services behind Georgia and Alabama. The Bulldogs, although he won’t say it publicly, have the edge right now and would receive his signature if today were NSD. Despite living a half hour away from Gainesville and growing up a Gator fan, Tunsil quite frankly just doesn’t want to go to Florida.
and they are already making excuses:
quote:
He’s very concerned (again, he won’t say it publicly) about having to compete with D.J. Humphries at left tackle and doesn’t want to play on the right side of the line.

Perhaps getting an LSU offer is just a notch in his gun. Perhaps coming to watch us play Bama is just a free trip and a lot of fun.
But if LSU is genuinely in his Top-5, and he hasn't come to a decision already, I wouldn't count us out yet. After all, he hasn't ever been to Baton Rouge yet. Our staff will no doubt roll out the red carpet for him. And our crowd is gonna be electric for that game - a different atmosphere than he will see at any other venue. And if LSU can pull out a big, exciting victory, who know how much that may sway the young man that this is the place he wants to be.
In essence, I wouldn't count us out until after his Nov trip.

He is affiliated with "Genron" so it's likely someone's getting some cash in some capacity. Not saying who, if anyone, but he's guilty by association imo. I wouldn't sleep on Bama because of Henry.

Pocic, Dodd, Malone and Boutte are all tremendous OL--it would be great to add Tunsil to the list, but you can't get them all.
Will LSU even use one of its remaining scholarships on an OL?

He was my surprise signing day commit in a thread several days ago. I stated if he sticks to his visit, he picks on on national signing day. I went on a limb but he was my suprise choice.
I'm not positive, but I don't think they would turn a talent like him away.

Genron is a planet located in the Degaba system. It is currently occupied by Klingons.
