Ran onto this youtube video while looking another posted on the OT. Thought the OB would like.
It's old as hell with weird music but I still thought it was pretty bad arse. I would never have thought an eagle could take down a wolf.

I like how the "wolves" actually engage the eagles in fighting once they swoop in, other prey just give in.
I wouldn't consider those wolves in the way North American people think about wolves though.

I've always thought falconry type hunting was badass, esp when they use big arse golden eagles.

In nature, eagles are pretty lazy and even ravens kick their arse.

Wasn't it Ben Franklin who was pissed about the eagle being the nations symbol due to its lazy scavenger mentality?
Eta: now that I think about it, it's pretty accurate representation these days.

Hey roger, those ravens are no joke huh! I made the mistake of leaving a trash bag in the back of truck one morning and a squadron of ravens destroyed it and the whole neighborhood.

Yep, their favorite food is carrion. They prefer to eat something in which the prep work has already been done by something else.

They are like lions, in that the lions are lazy, and don't hunt much(lets the female do it all), but they are badass when they want to be....Loved this video.
