Jacquizz Rodgers 2012 = Ray Rice 2009?

back in 2009 I drafted Ray Rice in like the 12th round after his rookie year running for only 400 yards and still headed into a time share with Willis McGahee and L'Ron McClain.
It was a PPR league and his 5'8" 212 lb..frame I figured could evolve maybe into 3-5 catches/game with some 20-30 yards on the ground.
Well 2,000 yards later I won another championship.
Any way, I am always looking for that undrafted up and comer, and Jacquizz caught my eye. Seeing how the Saints use Sproles, will Atlanta make my new project boy a 250+ touch RB? (200+50catches)

can he be Ray rice?
no. I think you are setting the bar a little high.
id shoot for a RB3/Flex player in a PPR.
He really struggled last year(3.6 YPC). Isn't overly fast or anything. Kind of got eaten up by opposing defenses.

Jacquizz Rodgers isn't even close to as talented

The big difference is that Rice went into 2009 with a decent shot at being the starter. Rodgers is competing with Snelling for the backup role.

Rodgers should be a lot more valuable in the passing game than Snelling. I kinda get the sense that ATL will throw it more, JMO. Turner should still hoard all the goal line carries and score his TD's though. Rodgers has an uphill battle in becoming a redzone threat and stealing touches from Turner, Roddy, Tony G, and Julio. If Turner got hurt, then yeah, Rodgers has more value.

Rodgers is only 196. I don't know that any RB under 200 pounds has ever had close to 2,000 yards. 16 pounds may not seem like a lot, but that's a huge deal for the pounding they take.
He's definitely a PPR sleeper. Snelling dealt with some injuries last year and Turner seems to be slowing down.

Has more potential to be Darren Sproles than Ray Rice(though Matt Ryan couldnt accomplish this, and for that we thank him). He's not a three down back.

and this.
If he were in a difference offense, he'd be more valuable.

agreed. And it'll be tough fighting for catches with Roddy(179 targets), Julio(95 missed 3 games), and Gonzo(116).
Ryan attempted 566, of those 390 went to these three guys...

He's definitely rosterable talent, but he doesn't have near the talent of Ray Rice.

Rodgers is Sproles in San Diego unless Turner gets hurt.

Damn, didn't do my research.
Rodgers just seems so much smaller than any of those guys. Thanks for keeping me in check fellas.

Rice isnt that small anymore though. my point was Rodgers can add a little weight, but i still dont think he'll ever be able to carry the load like Rice has
