For those who don't want to read for prediction:

quote:

My best guess is that Mathieu will declare for the 2013 NFL draft this January, test well at the Combine, and be drafted in the 20s next April by an annual playoff contender worried much less about size restrictions than football-playing ability. I think Tyrann Mathieu is going to go to Pro Bowls in the NFL. I think he will be a multiple-phase difference maker.

He'd be a great fit for the 49ers

He reminds me of Bob Sanders, of course whenever Bob Sanders is actually healthy.

Ive always pictured him playing in a defense like the ravens. But I would love to see him in saints gear

God I would love him on the Saints. Really fits the CB need we have and could be the heir at KR and PR for Sproles once he gets older

Thanks for this. Cause I didn't point out in my OP, 15 minutes before your post, that it had already been posted.

Explain what's grammatically incorrect about that.

I think free safety will be where he makes his money in the NFL-he was most impressive last season filling in for an injured Eric Reid. I hear the Ravens may be looking to replace some future HOFer next year.

That prediction would surprise me. I do think he will have a productive NFL career but I don't see him being in multiple pro bowls. I guess we will see but I think this prediction may happen for Eric Reid and not TM. Would love to have him prove me wrong. I love those little guys with huge hearts.

i don't know if it's grammatically incorrect but a competent writer would not use that phrase. instead, they'd say, "will go to"

I've heard he may project better as a safey, needs to put on a few lbs. I've also heard that if Tebow can go in the 1st round, TM can go top 10

He'd play well in an '09 Darren Sharper-type role, I think. Roaming the backfield, creating turnovers.

All It takes to go in the first round is one team to fall in love with you. I have a feeling more than one team will feel strongly enough about him to pick him early.
