Seriously, aside from a plothole here and there (and none of them are particularly horrible), what was so bad about it? You haven't done a good job explaining it. You were expecting TDK, and it was something very much different.

You have yet to make a good counter-argument about why this movie sucks.
If you thought the acting sucks, then say it. If you thought the script sucks, then say it. Just saying that there were plot-holes doesn't explain why you think it sucks. There were more plot-holes in TDK.

Counter-arguments
-it was borIng and far too long
-batman was in a three hour movie for about 15 minutes
-batman's voice was ridiculous and unnecessary
-every single cop in a huge city sent into underground tunnels. every one?!?
-there were too many "speeches" made not enough dialogue...
I could go on...
I did like 2 things...
-the opening scene
-how they handled Catwomen...
BTW-I am not the kind of guy who goes around bashing popular movies and making fun of their fans. I only name-called after being called a bitch...
I am only trying to come to grips with how so many people can say they liked a movie that I found appallingly bad. My theory is that people say they liked it because they are "supposed" to... I stand by it...

So? He wasn't needed any longer. It was a story more about Bruce Wayne than Batman. Batman in this film is merely a symbol compared to the previous two. The symbol needed to be absent for much of the film to give us its impact.

I found Little Miss Sunshine to be a shitty movie, but no one agrees with me and I don't go and defecate all over their lawn because they don't agree with me. Instead of telling people they're dumb and "I can't believe all you mindless sheep liked this", how about you talk about it, not just state your opinion as fact.

How about it's his opinion? That's a good counter-argument, don't you think? I loved this movie and, while it is flawed, I still found it to be the most enjoyable of the three (not the best, but the most enjoyable). Not everyone is going to have the same opinion as me. If they didn't like the movie, oh well. But just because they didn't like it does not invalidate their opinion, no matter the reasons for not liking it.

That's fine, until he starts telling everyone that like the movie they only like it because they were told to or wanted it to be good going in.
I was really looking forward to Prometheus and was disappointed. I was really looking forward to TDKR and like it and I've never read a Batman comic.

Yeah, but just because I am emotionally invested in the franchise doesn't mean I'm going to automatically like it. If anything that makes me much more picky about its installments. I am for instance not a fan of Burton's Batman series at all. Never have been even in my youth since I always saw the animated series as superior to it. Trust me, I'm a nitpicky film-goer, but most of this shite is just ridiculous that people are bitching about. Most the stuff you bitch about in TDKR can also be used in TDK itself.

your "theory" is an insult and your assertion that your opinion of the movie is fact is extremely condecending. Those 2 actions (insulting people while acting moral superior) will generally result in you being called names, not undeservingly so by the way.
