God, it's crazy watching sets with Melo and Lebron as the "bigs" and sets with 2 point guards, 2 SG and a forward.

Sometimes Team USA is playing very sloppy ball.

Why does CP3 wear 13, Bryant 10, KD 5, etc?

I tend to agree for the most part. He obviously doesn't have the same responsibilities on the offensive end that the rest do, but he doesn't look too bad.

If CP3 were in he would have had at least two FGs by now. There were two times specifically that he made a nice cut to the basket and a PG with good vision would have found him for easy dunks.

No, try actually watching next time. He runs to dribbler trying to set screens, they waive him off. He stands next to the paint stationary waiting for nothing, just there to grab a rebound off a miss.

Well he clearly doesn't know the plays yet... How long has it been?

Yeah, I'm not starting anything. Just said he's lost out there on offense, and there are perfectly legitimate reasons for that. Someone says my only reasoning for saying such is due to Kobe making 2 poor passes, which simply is not the case.

So, you're saying the pick and roll is not part of the offense? No, offense, but that is often the post player's purpose when his man hedges out over the screen. The roll to the basket is how you combat the hedging by the opposing big.

I'm not watching the game, so take it with a grain of salt, but your statement sounds like he was playing the offense as it was intended. I'm sure he is still getting a grasp of the reads, given the PG/dribbler directing him, but CP3 has directed bigs to plenty of alley-oops by waving them to the basket.

I'm watching a shitty stream because my ESPN3 won't work... but who the hell is #10? that was a god awful pass.

ETA: Kobe, figures.

No

Too tough to explain to someone without having seen it. Plus I don't really care to anymore. It was clear he was mindlessly running about, but some people will put their blinders on for really no good reason other than him being a Hornet and ignore the fact. When it's a moot point.

USA up by 30 hopefully Davis can play the majority of the 4th quarter. Since he probably won't get much time against the next two opponents, Argentina and Spain. And then probably very few minutes in pool play as well.
