I am good with all genres save for country and gangster rap.

I will go out on a limb and say 77% of all bands listed will be INDIE rock.

Anyways name a album that I should listen to cause it is good.

My favorite album of 2011 was Dawes - Nothing is Wrong

Just a quick blurb from one review... to get an idea of their sound...

Dawes are steeped in rock tradition, whether backing Robbie Robertson live or working on their own: "Fire Away," from their second album, sounds like a lost B side from Jackson Browne (and features Browne himself on backing vocals). The arrangements are all vintage, the guitar leads hot, and fraternal harmonies of drummer Griffin and leader Taylor Goldsmith are gorgeous even when the lyrics strain ("Time Spent in Los Angeles" plays like a dubious come-on to a lady circa 1973). Taylor's current side project, Middle Brother, shows his wilder, less studied side; this tuneful but sometimes bland set could use more of that.

@ Seaward.... I forget what post but I was digging some music you name dropped. Some very obscure bands(to me) I youtubed them but cannot remember them. This may have been one though

Anyways thanks for posting

I tried both these on youtube... not my cup of tea.

To future posters: I prefer metal, heavy rock, electronic, trip-hop.

Screaming Females - Ugly

None of this sissy stuff. A wailing banshee backed by distorted guitar riffs. Though I sign off on Cloud Nothings, though its more punk than metal.
