How long of a wait are we looking at for Friday night, 7:30pm, party of 12...? I've heard the lines can be kind of long there.
Also, how does it work?...you put your name on the list and then get in line....Or do you get in line to put your name on the list?

2 tables of six at Remoulade's around the corner. You are welcome.

Thanks....they want to try for Acme, but if we run into any issues we will walk down to Remoulade.

or Felix's across the street.
I wouldn't wait any more than 10 minutes for Acme.

Pretty sure you stand in line and the door guy puts you on list. Party of 12 tonight. At least an hour around 7. I'd do my best to convince group to try a new spot.

It would be quicker to just drive out to Metry.

The chances of not having to wait long on a Friday night at prime time with a party of 12 are slim unless maybe it's raining outside because that's likely where you'll be waiting.
For a party that large, a reservation elsewhere would be a smart move. If this is for today, I'd get on it pretty quickly.

Yep. I'd try mandinas for similar price point and better food. They take reservations.

If they're hanging in the FQ, they can take the streetcar on Canal to Mandina's and back. Easy trip and you get a streetcar ride in to check off the bucket list.

ACME really isn't touristy IMO. Yea there are tourists there, but there aren't many places inthe FQ with better oysters & fried seafood

I don't think it's "touristy" either. I like the place for what it is. The fried food is well done. I find that some folks think anywhere a tourist goes makes a restaurant "touristy". Nearly every place in the Quarter is "touristy" if that's the case.
