Pretty good for the Trojans. They might actually get to an SEC caliber if they keep it up. Still think they'd get squashed like bugs if they make it to title game versus one of us this season.

I could make you a nice list of WRs and RBs and one QB who were all 5-star for USC whom I was none to happy with the last 10 years and some who transferred or just never became stars.
Marqise Lee was a 4-star and he's the most talented WR USC has recruited in recent memory during this run.
That extra star some players get usually doesn't matter much and is added for a variety of reasons.

Small class last year. No limits per year recruiting...overall roster limit.

I remember the year (2004 I think) where USC has eight 5* guys. They've had so many ridiculous recruiting classes that I've been desensitized to any class they can possibly get.

Is there any doubt with Kiff running the show that SC will be the Nation's top program for the next decade?

Not to be one of these media bashing types, but that is how it will be portrayed, however, there are other programs, even in the SEC West, that are recruiting well and should be vey good for the next few years

Has there been anything to suggest they can't coach those games? Wasn't this the staff that took Bama to the wire in 2009 with a vastly inferior team? Didn't they go 10-2 last year? Stanford may have been the turning point. They lost that game, but proved they could hang with a really good team. They didn;t lose again, including at Oregon.

There's always been this mass belief among SEC fans that Kiff was a crappy game day coach - yet UT fans loved him.
