just reading about how Lane Kiffin is a top 3 choice to lead a college football program to the promised land

about to grab a beer and watch how this unfolds.

what exactly has Kiffin done to prove he is top 3?

Yeah, Richt is the definition of a mediocre coach. Doesn't belong in this discussion.

Hes proven he can win a conference championship.

Yet somehow LK wouldn't be a top eight coach in the SEC

Are you gay for Kiffin?

What Kiff has done at SC with the adversity and sanctions is damn near remarkable. He has them in position to be the Nation's top program for the next decade despite what he's had to deal with. That's the sign of an elite coach.

Nothing that about 10 other coaches have done to be in a top 3 spot before Kiffin.

I just think wolfpack thinks Kiffin is cute.

You act like he's turning around Kansas State ala Bill Snyder.

Your "he isn't a top eight coach in the SEC" comment proves your bias.

My bias towards other coaches in the SEC who have proven more than him? Absolutely.

So, Zamaro says something, and you go along with it.

Yes, I started the thread and he swayed me to be a USC fan and have confidence in Kif.

There are not eight better coaches in any single conference better than LK. For you to argue that is a joke.

I mean, it's not like anyone said he was a bad game day coach for Zamaro to post what he did.

You are gay for Kiffin.

Kiffin wouldn't be top 3 in the SEC, much less the rest of the country.

when are all these scholarship reductions taking place?

Yes, I'm "gay for Kiffin" because I don't think there are eight better coaches in ONE conference than LK

Can't argue with the biased

Program was damn near put on the death penalty. You'd be hard pressed to find a coach that's do as good a job as LK has done given the circumstances.

Already are

That's the only logical explanation for your affection toward a coach who has proven so little. Putting Kiffin in a group with Meyer and Saban is pure insanity when there are plenty of coaches who have accomplished way more than Kiffin has.

From what I recall, it seemed like that was largely because of his uncooperation with the NCAA more than past violations before he became head coach.

yes he has recruited well. they are USC. not exactly a hard sell.

was more of a response to the "he has the team prepped for the next 10 years". Arent the scholarship losses really going to take their toll after this year and the coming years?

Maybe I'm wrong about that but it's not like he's coaching at a program in Manhatten, Ks.

I agree that saying Kiff is top 3 coach is premature but what he's doing to weather the sanctions is nothing short of remarkable. I'm not completely sold on him just yet but he's definitely grown on me the past year.
