A moment in Saints History that pisses you off (no 2012 issues)

If you thought back to a time that pisses you off when you think about it or hear that name or situation, what would it be?
For me, Deion frickin Sanders. Turned down a Million Dollar Saints offer back in 96 or 97 when he was in SF and took the money to go to Dallas. I have hated that man ever since. I understand he was going for the Championship but still.

When Green Bay matched our offer sheet for Brett Favre.

Jim Hasslet continuing to play Brooks when it was obvious to everyone he sucked and was injured. I remember one game where he literally was bouncing some balls to the receivers.
Then he and Saints front office continued to lie about injury situation.
Right after the season, Brooks had surgery to fix injury.

Not ponying up the money to keep Joe Johnson, Pat Swilling and Quinn Early.
Letting go of Willie Roaf and Morton Anderson too early.
Benson talking about moving to San Antonio after Katrina.
Benson never opening up his books for the State to review every time talk of leaving came up when he wanted more money from the State.
Carl Smith

The opening of the 2005 season when we had a "home" game at Giants stadium. I was really hyped up, thinking the Saints had all this extra motivation. I was on deployment at the time, and it was 2 or 3 o clock in the morning when the game started. I stayed up all night just to see us get waffle stomped. It almost took me out of the season completely.

letting Mortan Anderson just leave. Why? Well we just thought that he would resign with us said Jim Mora.
We got nothing for him. Zip. Nada. Well except a big F'ing headache cause he went to the atl. Division foe.
They just let him walk.

1987. First playoff game ever. The Vikings crush us 44-10.
I hate the Vikings to this day for that beatdown.
eta: Close second- the Ricky Williams draft fiasco

After reading the first three posts in this thread I am pissed now. Thanks.
I'll go with the 0-4 start in 07. Brees was so bad the first four games of that year. I remember he was literally afraid to throw it farther than 5 yards down the field. Deuce blowing out his knee on a fluke pass play. Devery dropping critical passes. Jdavid and Bullocks getting burned every play. Worst 4 games ever!
Then ESPN and everyone was calling 06 a fluke and saying the team was just "riding that wave of emotion" BS.

Chronologically
1. 1979 MNF Blowing a 35-14 lead on the Raiders. Saints ended 8-8, one game out of playoffs.
2. 1978-79 3 Twilight Zone losses to the Atlanda Failcounts.
3. 1983 (I think, might have been '84) Bum's decision to punt to the Rams instead of trying a FG. Rams won and knocked the Saints out.
4. 1988 Hail Mary pass at end of first half vs Vikings in 1st ever Saints playoff game - pretty much decided it.
5. 1991-92 Super Bowl caliber teams and best defense in NFL blowing home WC playoff games to Atl and Phil.
6. Having a freaking 9-4 record (beating future SB champion Tampa bay TWICE), and losing the last 3 games due to the pussiness of Jim Haslett.

The Eagles vs Saints 1992 playoff game was my first true taste of the Saints having something in the bag and then throwing it away. How in the hell did that great defense give up 26 points in the 4th quarter?

Andre Rison. Hated that guy. Every time it looked like we had the Falcons beat, he'd pull out some circus catch and we'd lose.

When Bum (very appropriate name) traded Archie. I must also mention the idiotic drafting of Russell Erxleben as a number one pick; somebody must have been having a LSD flashback.

randall cunningham and the eagles in the dome in the playoffs back in the day.
we couldn't capitalize on the years we had the dome patrol.
