15 players will report to Las Vegas this week and after a week the team will be whittled down to 12 for the trip to London.

Here are the 15:

Carmelo Anthony
Kobe Bryant
Tyson Chandler
Anthony Davis
Kevin Durant
Rudy Gay
Eric Gordon
Blake Griffin
James Harden
Andre Iguodala
Lebron James
Kevin Love
Chris Paul
Russell Westbrook
Deron Williams

If I had to guess...

PG: CP3/D-Will/Westbrook
SG: Kobe/Iggy/Gordon
SF: Durant/Lebron/Melo
PF: Lebron/Love/Davis
C: Chandler/Love/Davis

That would probably be the team I would pick too.

I really hope Davis' ankle is stable enough that he gets a solid look to make the team. Multiple POY awards, National Championship, #1 pick in the draft, and then playing for an Olympic medal within a year's span is insane. And if anybody deserves it, he does because for as talented as he is he's a quality kid too.

Time to unleash the Brow © on the world.

Word is the ankle isn't as bad as they once thought.

Honestly I would put Rudy and Harden over EG bc I believe they give you more options. Gay's size and ball skills allows him to play multiple positions. I like Harden bc he already has good chemistry with Durant and Westbrook plus he is LH which opens ups some different plays on offense.

Yes. Left handed. All things being equal I would take a left handed player bc it opens up some different formations/plays on offense.

i'm not trolling you here, but i really don't understand how a left hander creates any great benefit to an offense.

especially considering they've played this game their entire lives so can handle with both hands and create shots on either side of the floor.

It's different than the norm. Players can handle with both hands but one is almost always more dominant. It's not a great advantage but with all things being equal I would choose the guy that brings something more unique to the table.

anyone else find it funny that we put a team together 20 days before the olympics and will most likely win the gold, when other basketball teams around the world have been training there whole lives... just goes to show... we crush at bball

Did Davis for sure report to camp? Either way, I can't see him making the team over Griffin. I agree on Harden and Gay though.

Colangelo told them to make sure Davis had enough time to fully heal and be able to try out for the team. He really likes what Davis brings over Griffin so I would be surprised if he doesn't make it.

Because he can dunk and is on sportscenter top plays all the time, huh?

Blake Griffin would make a terrible international basketball player because he can't make shite outside of 2 feet and his on ball defense is lacking big time.

They've pretty much said that Griffin is on the team. There are basically two spots up for grabs.
