Slam. What they are doing is going with the tide man. They are just trying to sell more papers. This is too little too late. It has been apparent since the Taylor report that the S*# lied but they never apologized. Were they waiting for the verity of the statement to be upheld by the law before they apologized? Apologizes cannot be conditional and genuine at the same time.

Yeah, after 23 years... too little, way too late...
I doubt the people of Merseyside will ever buy that rag given there are better options that never spread lies about their citizens...

I don't see that the s*n really had any choice in the matter. To maintain any credibility as a newspaper to the masses (not just Liverpudlians), they had to apologize like this. And while I feel this is definitely a step in the right direction, the apology does not absolve them of what they did 23 years ago.
If I'm wronged by someone, and they apologize I will accept their apology. But its not likely to make me want to ever do business with them. The same applies here.

This is what I'm saying. It's not going to change anything, but at least they're apologizing.

Dont know how much belief to put into this, but Bill Simmons says in his latest podcast that John Henry may sell the Red Sox this winter to focus on LFC...
Wouldn't be surprised..that organization is in rough shape.

Really good read,
Definitely. Talks a lot about the doubts we all have.

I just read that article a few minutes ago. We'll see what happens. $1.3 billion is a nice chunk of change, it won't sell particularly fast.

Well, that is very interesting

At last, The Truth came out after 23 years. The dignity and respect of the families of Hillsborough was always an example. #JFT96

Massive man crush. I love that he's still so in love with the city and everything LFC. What an awesome guy.

Not going to happen per John John Henry. As a Sox fan I want them around. Great owners, just give them time on Merseyside.
What did they pay for the Sox?
Posted on 9/13/12 at 4:17 pm to TFTC
I think it was around $700 million, which would make the Red Sox their most valuable franchise.

So I need one of the new warrior kits. I've heard good things, but what's everyone's opinion on its durability and sizing? Also, I think I want a replica, so who should I get? Stevie? Shelvey? Sterling? Suso? Agger? That's kind of who I'm leaning towards, but suggestions appreciated.

As a gesture to the families, LFC fans are buying YNWA on iTunes and trying to get it to #1. Just bought mine. It's up to #79.

For me its no contest. Loyalty is of the utmost important to me in modern football (because it basically doesn't exist anymore). Agger is a dying breed, and I'm proud as hell to have him on my squad.

Also, the first home game at Anfield since the truth has been revealed will be against Manchester United. What an atmosphere that will be.
