Yea. I hear you but we could have maybe bought another option at striker or we could have spent more money and bought someone better than Giroud(not that I don't think he will be a good player).

ugh, Arshavin did the heart hands after his goal.

anyways, I'd rank the goals:
1. Theo's 2nd
2. Arshavins 2 touch goal
3. Ox's rocket

Amazing that Ox's goal is only the 3rd best.

Santos is in the market for a chauffeur

Our wages went up nearly £20mil this year! How did that happen?

I think Giroud will come good. We've got 4 legitimate options up front. We'll see though. If it isn't working out, we have some flexibility in January.

Ox had the best goal. Absolutely brilliant strike.

Ox's was a nice strike, but I think the keeper could have done better. I was expecting more from it thanks to twitter.

This is huge. We usually don't have the luxury of being a factor in the January market.

I was a skeptic, but we have a real chance at winning something. People were rt, we relied too heavily on RVP. Without him, goals are coming from everywhere. With a good early start the players are playing confident and with energy. It's really beautiful to watch.

guys. GUYS.

don't get caught in the trappings of hope and optimism (as a general rule you'll be even more miserable if you do that. #LifeProTip).

this literally happens every year. we start out well and then, like a fricking cartoon, we find ourselves sprinting perilously beyond the February Cliffs of Despair, pumping our legs like we still have momentum, still hovering in thin air, then we look up at the camera, hold up a "ZOINKS!" sign and plummet to our deaths*

Except last year we actually had a good enough 2nd half of the season to work ourselves into 3rd place after starting so poorly. Another thing is that this team is dramatically different from the team that collapsed two years ago. Instead of coming and trying to bring down the morale of the thread why don't you let everyone enjoy the team we presently have.

David Simon summed it up best in SI this week: I'm not a glass half empty guy, I'm a glass-broken-over-the-end-of-the-bar-and-used-to-splay-the-jugular-of-whatever-character-stood-up-and-dared-assert-for-human-dignity-two-scenes-earlier guy.

It is good to not get too overwhelmed with this start. It's a long season.

fair enough. but there's just a general cycle of glorious light that gets squeezed to the size of a pinhole that we have to squeeze through at the end of the season just to hang onto 4th
