This is where i get confused. Whats diff btw league cup, fa cup, community shield, etc.

League Cup is like a shittier FA Cup. I'm not sure which once actually has more clubs involved, but the FA Cup is more prestigious. Basically, they are both knockout tournaments with more than just Premier League English clubs. The big clubs essentially get byes to the later rounds.
The Community Shield is just one game between the previous year's FA Cup winner and EPL winner. The game occurs the weekend before the EPL season starts.

FA cup involves literally every team in England, down to your Sunday church leagues pretty much. League cup, or the Capital One Cup, involves the top 92 teams in England. All EPL teams get a bye into the second round, and all teams participating in Europe get a bye into the third round, which is what's being played now. Third round=round of 32
