Gausman is not coming back, but if there was ever a situation where a guy drafted that high could/would come back it is the one he is in.

Agreed. But they must have got to him early and sold him on the idea of playing as a nobody in the minors. Oh well, our draft class is still looking pretty solid

Not when that's the most he may have ever gotten even if he came to college. Everyone was shocked to see Jennings go in the 6th round, even Mainieri. Nobody, and I mean nobody mentioned him as a guy that would be drafted highly and possibly sign pre-draft.
