Just my 2 cents in this argument, 1st and foremost YOU should be the only one to have access to a pistol/ammo that you own ,example, either in a safe or in a holster on your side. There is no reason anyone else should even know whether you have a safety or not IMO. Only 2 people even know I carry 24-7. If you are BRANDISHING as stated earlier I'm glad I don't socialize with you. BUT, to answer the OP's question I own 3 pistols all three are my carry guns and none have "thumb actuated safeties".
