Wow...Bud for the 18th? I heard it was going to be Martin.

FWIW There is talk of the picks going to Orlando, Dwight going to LA with Scola, and Bynum and Gasol heading to Houston.

If so, Houston makes out like a fricking champ in that deal.

Now they have to turn those into a couple top 10 picks to be able to do something with them.

You'd assume Morey has something else in place already and isn't just collecting mediocre picks

I thought the whole reason he sogned his extension was because he didnt want to go to the Lakers?

Yeah they would be getting rid of other players like Lowry, Dalembert, Marcus Morris, and Martin to move up for the 5th and the 8th but they would have a solid group.

Dragic
Lee
Parsons
Gasol
Bynum

Broussard said a couple days ago that he added the Lakers back on his list because he wants out of Orlando that bad.

The rumor is that Morey had a deal in place sending him to Houston at the deadline and thats why he opted in for 1 more year.

Wouldn't doubt it. I can't possibly imagine what would make Orlando so much more desirable than Houston. That place is a dump.

But he wanted to go to Dallas...he sucks. I would rather see Houston trade up and keep the picks.

Usually I'd agree cause I don't like the things I've seen from Dwight, but this draft doesn't do much for me though.

That lineup would be great for 3-4 years until Gasol starts to decline (not that he already has)

D. Howard is not going to Houston, FWIW

quote:

The Rockets are trying to put together a trade for Dwight Howard without an assurance that he would sign an extension.

A source with knowledge of Howard’s thinking said Monday that there was “not a chance” he would be convinced to re-sign with Houston if traded there. Howard would leave during the summer of 2013 to sign elsewhere.

Howard has given no indication of planning to sign a long-term extension with the Magic.

I think we can all agree that Howard changes his mind with the wind. The Rockets are also clearing cap space with these trades. You think Howard passes up his Deron+Dwight wish because it's Houston?

Agreed.

And what if Houston gets his BFF Josh Smith. I could definitely see him signing on long term.

I just hope the Lakers don't get a Dwight/Scola package....I might boycott the NBA forever

....ouch, but kind of what i figured.

i don't see how Houston is getting a steal in this supposed 3 team trade.

As a Lakers fan. You're more than welcome to whiny arse Bynum and soft arse Gasol for Scola and DH.

completely happy with that.

Well assuming Deron Williams agreed to go to Houston, then I could see Howard agreeing to go there as well. But according to "reports", it is either Brooklyn or Dallas for D-Will and I believe that.
