Odoh apparently has some academic issues and is going to summer school trying to graduate from junior college.
If this resume issue is true about Forrest, he won't likely be coaching at the major college level this year, so Johnny Jones is still the person available that Odoh knows.

The stupid part is that the job doesn't require a master's degree. If true, then he was fired for a false resume, not for the lack of a master's degree
So do you think they told him they knew and let him resign instead of firing him?

I'm going with he pissed off Collis Temple.

man this sucks, i always want my asst bball coaches to have graduate degrees. OTherwise, how are they going to remember how many timeouts we have???

I'm sure it was discovered somehow, either by some due diligence by LSU or an anonymous tip or something like that. They called him on it, he admitted it, and got the option to resign quietly.

This is my guess. This was J Jones' Boy and he wanted to leave doors open for him down the road for other jobs one day IMO.

University's take academic deception or fraud very seriously.
Had he not even claimed the non-master's on his resume then he would be fine.
Same thing that happened to George O'Leary when he was named at Notre Dame.

He couldn't handle Tiger Stadium not being done in time

Yep, if true, he should have known this could easily be discovered.
The fact that he was willing to lie on his resume is one thing, the fact that he was stupid enough to think it would not come back to bite him is another.
LSU might be better off without someone of of his character and judgement dealing with recruits and players.

You're saying I should take:
MBA - Wharton School of Business
PhD - Nuclear Physics, CalTech
...off of my resume?

Not at all. Just make sure you have the forged diplomas to back it up.

Hopefully now we can bring someone with real local ties in like Quannas White. He has several of our young top prospects. If we are trying to keep our talent here that's the best chance at doing it.

has anyone blamed Miles yet for this? i am sure Miles asked Johnny Jones to give Jordan Jefferson a spot on his staff and Forest was the most logical choice to get rid of.
