West coast plot against SEC. Thus forcing us to play their small ball game.

yea not unfair but it has made the games less fun. I miss the home runs and these bats have made ok pitchers into way better pitchers than they should be

I think its the other way around. The bats made hitters WAY better and made good pitchers be OK pitchers. Problem is lil johnny grew up with a sweet high dollar big barrel bat since Tball. Now he isn't producing like he had been due to actually having to have talent to know which pitch he can hit with power to drive the ball, instead of hitting a dinger off the end of the bat.

this thread is revisiting others on the subject but it seems to be very timely to me. they have gone too far and need to liven 'em up some. a fly ball to the warning path is about as deep as it goes in some games; by either team. i think the fans want a few more homers.

There actually may be some truth to this. That CWS game against USC got the ball rolling to change the bats IMO.

Stop trying to go deep and getting a warning track fly ball. Focus more on line drives in the gaps.

Clemson batter a minute ago just sent a pitch 2 counties over the right field wall
still a little muscle in the bats... a little

The obvious solution is to change the approach with the new bat but, still doesn't change the fact that the game has been watered down.

"rummer has it that the MLB may get involved with college baseball and make us use wooden bats. This would be the worst thing to happen to college baseball IMO"
I think wooden bats would be an improvement over these bats

Entertaining but nowhere near what it once was.

There's nothing wrong with being in a hotel bar getting drunk

TCU and Dayton scored 40 runs. 6 HRs, 6 doubles, 1 triple.

I would rather watch athletes playing baseball than chunky guys playing a version of men's slow pitch softball. I understand what people are saying about meet in the middle but it's not like they are up there with plastic bats. U can square up a line drive. That gorilla stuff where everything in the air was a homerun has me jaded.

There's no reason that ball Nola sat back and drove last night should've stayed in the park. The bats are too watered down.

Do you guys think the NCAA will make any changes to the bats in the future?
