Hi y'all. UW fan here, cannot wait for the game on September 8th. Lived in Texass for 5 years and experienced an LSU game before (NC vs Oklahoma). I'm really looking forward to the game. That being said. Are there any tips on what to do while in BR? also, best route on getting tickets? Read that the visitor section is 403, how are those seats? they look really high up. Everything else looks like its in the 300 dollar range. Thanks for all the help.

first of all

now that we got that out the way...

just get to the game early and enjoy the tailgating. if you can take a few jerks tiger baiting you they will eventually offer you all the food and beer you want. as far as stuff to do around baton rouge, it's really just a basic college town. not too much to do unless you plan on going to the new orleans area.

LSU has tickets for sale around the stadium at face value. might be your best bet.

Section 403 is the highest point above sea level in the state of Louisiana.

Get to BR early (AM) and enjoy the tailgating atmosphere. Since you lived in Texass you understand the heat here, so be prepared.

I had a great time in Washington when we went there. Hope to repay some of ya'll.

Penthouse Club, casino and Chimes. I also had a blast at the LSU/UDub game a few years ago. Great time besides the lack of strip clubs.....

Oh, before I forget,

The visitor seats are primarily is the the south endzone. There are a few visitor seats way up in the east and west uppers but it's generally the south endzone.

Wear your UW stuff, you'll get "Tiger baited" but take it with a smile. People will offer you food and drinks, visit people's tailgates, enjoy yourself.

Go see Mike and watch the band come down the hill.

Find a parking spot early!

A non-exhaustive list of suggestions:

(1) Eat at The Chimes, the quintessential LSU restaurant, mere steps from campus;

(2) Visit Mike's habitat, located to the immediate north of the stadium;

(3) Witness the LSU marching band and the team itself march down The Hill and into the stadium;

(4) Install yourself in the stadium early enough to witness The Four Corner Salute, one of LSU's best pre-game traditions;

(5) Most importantly, get to campus early on gameday, walk around, and enjoy the varied delights of the best tailgating in the nation. If you are friendly and energetic, I can assure you that the warmth will be reciprocated a thousand times over. In general, tailgating consists of eating Southern delicacies, drinking unhealthy volumes of assorted alcohol, oggling healthy volumes of gorgeous women, playing beer pong, flirting, dancing, flirting, drinking, drinking, eating, laughing, and generally imbibing the very unique Southern Louisiana joie de vivre. You should check in here during the days leading up to the game, as I'm sure many would be willing to invite you to their tailgate and introduce you to the debauched splendors of Saturdays in the shadow of Death Valley.

Have fun.

We had a few run-ins with those panty waists in Dallas and I know what you mean. Most of them were shell shocked after the old school butt woopin' we threw them in Jerryworld.

LSU provides some of the best visitor tickets in the country...at least until the 2014 season. About 2000 in the lower SE corner sections 401-403 as well as a few hundred behind the visitor bench. The rest are on the last few rows of the East upper deck.
You can sometimes get decent tickets for around face + fees, an hour or so before kickoff, but you'll have to do some scrounging/walking/begging, to get more than a pair together...good luck
