Duck Dynasty - M/T Thoughts?

My mom is absolutely addicted to this show for some reason.. she had my wife and I sit down and watch "this hilarious show" during our time at their house on Memorial Day. It was alright at best.. but it really seems to me that they are getting away from the whole "this really is reality" type "reality tv" and more into the "let's see what kind of shite we can get these rednecks to do" type format.
This family became rich by selling duck calls.. yet you never see them ever making these things.. it's almost like A&E is all "let's just f*** with these rednecks".

really can't handle anymore "reality" shows about southerners. I agree that they are trying to make us look like morons. Quite frankly, I'd appreciate a reality program highlighting something sophisticated (Tulane Med Ctr, LSU Med Ctr, Faces LAb,etc.). Enough of the stupid redneck shite.

it can be pretty funny. specifically the "life lessons" the kids get from the old timers.
i wouldnt change my schedule around to catch an episode or anything, but its better than those storage and pawn shop shows.

For the most part, I found it more enjoyable than anything I have seen on A&E, History, or any other cable reality tv shows. If nothing else, because it didn't play itself off to be real, it was like the producers really just wanted you to know from the get go - "we are showing these idiots what to do, and we are filming how they handle it"

I just get tired of reality shows presenting the same stereotypes in the south. They are usually negative and make us look like idiots (are try to).

I'm with most of you on this show. My buddy calls me up and says I MUST WATCH IT!! Best new show on TV! He thinks its funny as hell!! I dvr it and watch about 10 minutes of this pathetic excuse for a tv show, FREAKIN TERRIBLE!!
