Here is why UK should be furious, however.

TigerStripes06 NCAA tournament announcement Seeing as they have arguably the best coach in college baseball...Oregon state was good for years and no one bitched about them. Oregon took all the talent.
They've always had a program. How long ago did they begin a program? Five years ago? Using their Phil Knight Money to become college baseball's 1997 Marlins?

"urprised about Miami, earlier they were possibly coming to lsu regional."
Now they can come to our Super Regional

They probably won't make it out of their own...

Totally random guess on the pairings, with national seed on left:
LSU-NCST
FLA-UVA
FSU-RICE
BAY-ARIZ
UCLA-MIAMI
ORE-PUR
UNC-USCe

I thought purdue was hosting at wrigley?

I'm really surprised about Kentucky

After a second look, if KY gets a 1 seed, it's at Arizona, not Miami.

Can't wait for the Baton Rouge regional. ULM is a lock for coming.

Kentucky didn't get a host site? Wow
They don't sell nearly enough tickets to justify it.

Pairings won't look nothing like that. Pairings are based on geography and that has teams going all over the place.

Neither does ucla, but they got one
Posted on 5/27/12 at 5:54 pm to josh336
There are going to be some SEC teams that will wreck some parties on the road next weekend.

Uh, Miami got swept by all the good teams in the ACC. And finished 16-14 in ACC, yet they get one because they sell tickets?
Then why not Mississippi State too? They never have ticket problems

But the PAC 12 teams won't be paired with themselves and there's no Fullerton regional.
Same with the ACC. Somebody's taking a long trip out of that conference.
And there's not really anyone to pair up with Purdue.

The baseball media and committee usually favor them, even when they don't deserve it.

We hosted in 2006 and did well.
This is merely the NCAA screwing the SEC. Unfortunately Kentucky was the "easiest" to snub because we were lowest on the potentially hosting in the SEC totem pole.
