The Yak and Yeti is hands down the best. It's in animal kingdom. Pricey though.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge buffet ( called Boma ). They serve breakfast and supper- it's an awesome experience. One can drive there ( at Animal Kindom Lodge) or take a Disney bus from any park.

Holy bump Batman!
Cape May has a Nagoya-like buffet for $40. Hardly worth the price, but when at Disney, it's surely a better option than soft pretzels and a soda. Get there early.
Germany at EPCOT can be fun, entertaining, and you certainly won't go away hungry. Also, drinking at Germany is encouraged.

Kouzzina - best food I've ever eaten at Disney and I've been to Disney 18 or 19 times since I was little.

I second the fish n chips. It may be the atmosphere, but to sit on the sidewalk eating fish n chips and drinking Stout........ thats got my vote

went in april and had a blast. it was my first time going in about 25 years.
Ohana for dinner was great. hope you like to eat meat. the bread pudding was excellent.
the hibachi in Japan was good. the presentation was better than the food.
Mama melrose's in hollywood studios was pretty good italian.
the breakfast at cinderella's castle was very good.
The breakfast at Chef Mickeys in the contemporary was good. it is a buffet style meal but there are tons of options.
I can't wait to go back and try more restaurants.

We ate breakfast at Chef Mickey and Cinderella castle last year. We are doing Che Mickey at dinner this time. We are trying to get reservations at Ohana but aren't having much luck. All they have in our only open night is 10 pm or 3 pm. My wife has most of our meals planned out and reserved, I was just wanting to get a few more opinions.

The few "must eat" places that I always tell people about are:
Tony's Town Square in Magic Kingdom. It's Italian food in a Lady & the Tramp bistro setting. It would stand alone if it were a restaurant not in Disney. Excellent Italian food.
Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. Tried this place for the first time last year and it was amazing.
Via Napoli in EPCOT's Italy pavilion. It just opened last year but it's another Italian place, of course, but the pizza here is some of the best I've ever had. They spent something like $300K on 3 wood burning oven imported from Italy. It's a place we'll be sure to eat every year.
Sci-Fi Diner in Hollywood Studios. If you haven't been in the last 2 years you need to give it another look. They've upgraded their menu a bit and the burger, Reuben and smoked turkey sandwiches are all excellent.
Flametree BBQ in Animal Kingdom. Good pulled pork and ribs.
Rainforest Cafe in Downtown & Animal Kingdom. Good All-American menu. I like their bbq chicken pizza.
Ohana in the Polynesian resort. Probably the best meal you'll get in all of Disney as far as quality & value. Just be prepared to eat your arse off.
eta: Just wanted to add in that you have to take Disney food with a grain of salt. If you go there expecting four-star meals you're going to be disappointed. We go every year and have learned to stay away from the higher priced places because the food just isn't that good.

Nice bump! Are you on the dining plan or just paying cash? The dining plan is convenient but limits you in some areas.

Tusker House in Animal Kingdom is the best character meal in WDW, IMO. Their breakfast has great selection, and it's not quite as wild as Chef Mickey's.

Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom had one of the most pleasantly surprising meals of all of my dining experiences at WDW.
ETA: WDW Magic has a great online community and site with a whole dining section, complete with menus and reviews. Also, a tip for viewing the Illuminations fireworks display. Secure a reservation at The Rose & Crown for about an hour prior to the start of Illuminations and specify that you would like Illuminations seating. It is the best place to view the fireworks.

We are on the dining plan. We are eating at Liberty Tree tavern. My mother in law loves that place and we never ate there last year so she insisted we eat there this trip. She said the roast is great.

Their prix fixe dinner menu was great. It had the Roast beef, roast turkey, and roast pork meat trio, along with sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. Your MIL is right, you won't be disappointed.

Ahh, that makes sense. I forgot they were going haha. Pretty sure that will be during the International Food and Wine Festival, right? If so...I'm very jealous. I told my parents the same thing, it's a great festival.
But as I mentioned, give Kouzzina a try, pretty sure it's worth the lesser amount of points on the meal plan, and it blows a lot of the other restaurants in Disney out of the water. It was so good we ate there twice this past summer.

Mmm...seared Ahi tuna and...BOWLING???
Not sure if Splitsville is open yet in Downtown Disney, but that's sure to be a fun place. I've been to the one in Tampa a few times and always enjoyed it. You can take part in any combination of bowling, drinking, pool, take in some sports on the multiple tvs, and they actually have some decent food which ranges from sliders to sushi to pizza, etc. It's sort of a something for everyone kind of place which delivers.
I'm not sure if they're open yet. I couldn't find a hard date, but they say fall of 2012, whatever that means.
