You're right. They're going to demolish them so badly, that they might derail Michigan's whole season because their morale will be shot.

I hate that team as much as the next guy, but this is a stupid statement to say they "won't even beat Michigan."

It's good to see rational thoughts in a thread like this.

The national champion will be decided in baton rouge in november, I have no doubt about that.

1/9 was an anomoly in this series recent history, anyone expecting anything other than a back alley street fight is sadly mistaken. I expect a close game that could go either way and propel the victor to the SEC's 7th straight NC

This kind of shite is why I dont watch ESPN. They are fricking pathetic.

They are pathetic because they think we may not win the west?

LSU fan needs to get over this 'ESPN hates us!!!' mentality. ESPN spends 24 hours per day trying to talk about sports and make money. If hyping LSU will make them more money than hyping Texas, they will do it. Currently that does not appear to be the case, but I assure you ESPN as a whole is neither for nor against LSU.

ETA: Then again Saints fan thinks the NFL hates them too. I would guess these are mostly the same people.

well...yes

The nation saw a physical football game decided in overtime on the foot of a kicker. There was no doubt who the best 2 teams in the country were. If LSU had won by say...21 points then they are playing the pokes in new orleans

So the newest spin is the mulligan was justified because we didn't win the "game of the century" by enough points at your house? K. Gotcha.

That was always the reason, do you really think if LSU spanked alabama in the game of the century that there would have been a rematch? America saw alabama outgain LSU on offense and miss a bunch of field goals and end up losing the game in overtime. It was blatantly obvious how close the 2 teams were in november. Okie lite lost to iowa fricking state, which would have been the equivalent of bama losing to vanderbilt. You act like this is the first time that the obvious 2 best teams in the country played twice. 1996 says hello

Yep, the only reason you lost was 'cause you "missed a bunch of field goals."

We're under the BCS system now. Show me where the BCS's goal is to match the two "best" teams. You can't, because that's not its stated goal.

Here's the truth you don't want to hear: Bama got a do-over because of the love-struck media/voter's unprecedented use of an "eyeball test" and your "who had the worse loss" factor. Had they used what had been the criteria, SOS, best wins, etc., Okie State gets in pretty easily.

It's not like this was a consensus ESPN rountable verdict. This was just one guy, Ed Cunningham,, responded that he disagreed with another guys prediction ( Ivan Maisel) that Oregon would beat LSU in the BCSNCG.

No, its stated goal is to match the two highest ranked teams. Which it does every year.

If you're going to insist that someone show you where the BCS's stated goal is to match the two best teams, then you also should show us where the BCS's stated criteria are SOS, best wins, etc.

I disagree. Montgomery, Mingo, Freak Johnson, TM7, Tharold Simon, Logan, and Reid are all too good on defense. LSU offense will keep the ball longer, and it will be tough for any offense to face that defense. Plus, I think LSU will beat Alabama after all we've been through. LSU has the team to do it. We win the West.
