Does the tide effect fishing?

I've got a camp on big lake with a pier on it and we're gonna be doing a little fishing this weekend. I'm curious how the tide is gonna effect things. Gonna be doing night fishing under the lights.

Is this a serious question?

Yes, and you should close down TD and do some internet searching.

tide is overrated, what really matters is how hungry the fish are.

Better question would be how does it affect fishing
Look up almanac or weather channel for best fishing times of month/day

Don't worry about them dudes. What they think, the tide goes down and fish disappear and get less hungry? They are the ones that spend them fancy bucks on that camo shite thats all expensive cause they think it makes them look more of a tree than before.

Im most places you tend to catch fish with either a rising or falling tide. Depends on the location for which one is better. Thus the more tide, usually the better fishing

So when the tide is at its highest or lowest would be the worst time to fish?
Never knew how that worked, I look at the best fishing times on weather channel but didn't understand how it was affected.

Right. The baitfish move with the tide, so a rising or falling tide is gonna push the bait in our out, and that's when the fish are gonna be feeding.
